They're gonna trade Aiyuk for an early 2nd and then sign Higgins for the same deal. Would be a masterclass.

* Sign a bunch of big deals
* Players get injured
* Players decline
* Deal players away in trades

This team man. It's like they just don't know what they are doing. GM is looking underwhelming lately. The last few years in totality. Include the bad missed draft picks and traded away picks. Then we are in the bad category IMO.

* They lost it twice.
* Lost 4/8 years (hardly great)
* 6 - 11, .353, #11 overall pick (after 8 years of rebuilding)

I think that's hardly some world beater performance.

How is ANOTHER $18M in dead cap a "masterclass"? $50M in dead cap for two WR's we traded 1-2 years too late is just bad business…

Honestly probably trading them both at this point is the good move. Both are injured. 1 is a Diva and getting older. 1 we don't know if he will be the same. Clearing them out is the right move. It's unfortunate it didn't work out.

This is the truth. I still believe in our FO, but trading Aiyuk would be a very tough pill to swallow.

Dead cap doesn't matter

Please elaborate

It absolutely matters to the people signing the checks. I think it's becoming quite clear that the Yorks aren't very happy about the substantial amount of dead money they team has. I think the Niners have the most dead money in the NFL by a good margin.

DC is money already paid and it's not preventing us signing players

we're rolling over 45m and get a salary cap but.

Deebo off the books next year frees up more cap

Isn't the dead money hit just a number on the books? I think the important thing from the Yorks perspective is they are saving 17 million in actual cash this season with Deebo gone, right?
