I also questioned about the drafting of so many players with injuries, but it is a high risk high reward deal, Walsh had done it, he just did it more than he should and part of the blame should fall on the 49ers medical staff. His biggest slip on that was Lattimore, who told the niners that he had his own doubts.
Lynch is actually so far doing what Baalke did but not in great quantity, you may not recall, he did not have the cap space in half those years. Boldin=Garcon etc. All the players so far are role players and not a Revis or whatever superstar.
Let us not forget, while it is good on paper, we still have to see how it plays out on the field. Plus make no mistake, having the right coach pull in the players means everything. Lynch or any other GM won't be getting these guys if Shanahan was not here. He is hot off the press from appearing in the SB
It helps to have the right coach. His biggest problem to me was he already had a philosophy of what players he wanted (especially on D) and did not get the players to match the coaches system, it was okay when Fangio was here and Harbaugh, once they left those coaches had to change based on the players and those coaches sucked as teachers also.
