come on john , now just sign hightower and mission accomplished and get ready for draft, need a defense guy now

I say close on Alshon Jeffery and call it day on offense (maybe pick up a 2nd veteran RB like Andre Ellington who would be great in this offense)...then use the draft mostly on D + a young QB.

I agree

Doing a phenomenal job so far. Shanahan is getting some guys that work perfectly in his system.

Let's see what they do with the defense

I must say, these signings may not work out down the road but....at least it's made the offseason, after the past s**tty years, somewhat exciting. At this point, with Baalke at the helm, we'd be talking about how we signed the back up to the back up or some freak athlete from another sport, and how this may be the year one of our ACL picks finally blossoms...

In all fairness to Baalke, it is because of him that Lynch and the F.O. can do what they are doing money wise because he left them fiscally responsible. There are other teams that are a mess and can't do anything like Sa Diego or have to watch and not go buck wild.

Baalke would not have been in this mess if he knew how sign free agents and draft players wihtout ACL injuries. Of course we had money, because he neever brought in quality players and replaced a high priced good coaching staff with a bunch of rejects and paid them 50 cents and hour.

I do give credit to baalke for not putting us in cap hell but he pretty much did the opposite which is put is in a talentless hell. All things being considered, I'm glad we're in THIS situation rather then the other but it shows you can't lean too extreme to one side. It was nice when we'd get a guy like skuta who came in and out performed his contract but for every skuta we had multiple scrubs that played at or below their cheap contracts.

Moneyball days are over. Paraag actually has to work now.

If he can bring back Willis and Justin Smith, I'll be convinced!

He will be used as a TE as well. Big time receiving threat for a FB. I don't doubt he could top 60 receptions here.

That's my thinking too. $21.5 mil would make him the highest paid FB by a mile. Next closest is DiMarco who just signed for $8.5 mil.

Its pretty clear we have a bigger role in mind for Jusczcyk. Like you mentioned, a versatile TE/FB/RB.

Supply and demand. Browns wanted him too and seem desperate to sign ... someone. It's a key position in Kyle's offense. WCO!!!!

Maybe that's the reason PM got involved with other aspects of the team. He hardly had any work to do when Baalke was GM.

Looks like we may draft towards defense
Matt Miller‏Verified account @nfldraftscout
Don't rule out the @49ers as a potential landing spot for top NT @BrandonW_66

What do you guys think? Yeah? Ney?

Personally I'll take anybody but Purcell!
