Lucked into Shanahan but Lynch as a GM? Wtf?? So many qualified GMs 49ers interviewed...and in the end - they decided to hire a guy who has ZERO experience working in a NFL Front Office. He has ZERO experience as a scout at any level. I understand, so many potential GM candidates rejected 49ers. But, to hire a guy who has never held a position that is in no way related to a day-2-day job profile of a GM is unbelievable. I'm sure Lynch is a smart guy...he was a smart player...but that has NOTHING to do with being a GM. Why take the risk at this time? --------------- edit: After having some time to digest this news...wish him all the best and I hope he proves ppl wrong. Still don't understand why we needed to take such a risk but it is what it is now. I do have to say - his first presser made a positive impression.

These Bouye rumors remind me of the Nate Clements rumors. Team was horrible when that was happening and it got everyone overly excited haha. Too funny.

Sounds like the 49ers will be focusing more on free agents filling up the roster. Im expecting to see very few rookies starting. From everything I have heard and read since Lynch got hired that seems like the direction he wants to go. For this year at least the draft won't amount to much.

Would rather pay pryor but Garçon would be a good pickup. Not a true 1 but certainly a big upgrade over Torrey

IMO there are too many holes on this team to fill up from free agents. We better plan on starting our high picks because we don't have enough talent not to.

Pryor would be nice, but Garcon is a proven veteran who knows the system. Hard to go wrong there. Draft and/or sign some more speed, and our WR group looks much better.

Yes!! He wants a lot of money, but he wants to play FB/TE/HB. He wants to go somewhere he'll be utilized all over.
