If so he better be saying he's gonna workout with Kerley&Ellington and see how he likes the Bay Areano tampering there.
Omgz, I just forgot Hyde being a buckeye can possibly really influence Terrell to come here!
He gone.....Pryor removed Cleveland Brown from his Bio.

Brooks
And then Brock. Done.
$113.9M less Kerley & Mitchell
Slow down on Brooks, the guy actually produces and is a scheme fit at SAM. We just can't let him line up on the line (offsides)
One of the shakiest positions on the team is linebacker. Unless Lynch just thinks Brooks doesn't have enough of the right attitude for the team he wants to build, then I think Brooks will be back for another year.

Cousins + Pryor + Keeping #2 pick would be a killer day 1 of free agency.

Browns seem to be running their team like Billy Beane. Keep letting good players leave and hope and pray that unproven guys from the draft will adequately replace them. At some point you have to hold on to your better players.

Agree and I feel like we have had our own "Moneyball" problems here with over-focusing on value and under-focusing on need.

As much as some of you don't like it. I think ABrooks is safe for one more season. Theres an interview with Lynch/Kyle last month when they were asked about current players that fit the new defensive scheme and Brooks was the first name that came out of Lynch/Kyle's mouth about a fit of being able to play the SAM position. Remember, this is not the Baalke/Harbaugh era where they talked up a player and then canned them afterwards. Brooks might not be a star player that'll create havoc with opposing offenses every single play but at least he's consistent.

I'd be down. He'll be 26 in August. Good size at 6'0" 192. Played at an elite level at a premium position. Thats the kind of guy I'm okay with spending money on.
Is an elite corner one that allows 50% completions and has 6 picks in 3 seasons? Unless that blurb I read was wrong, that sounds like someone in need of being upgraded, not the upgrade.

Yes, 50% completions allowed is an excellent mark, to go along with 58.5 QB rating on passes thrown in his coverage. I wouldn't judge a corner solely by his INT total either. He deflects passes, doesn't allow much in coverage, and defends the run well. He's widely considered to be a rising star and the best corner on the market by far. Only 25 years old.
FA rankings by numerous publications:
NFL.com
5) A.J. Bouye, Houston Texans cornerback: No NFL player raised his value more in 2016 than Bouye, who started the season as Houston's fourth cornerback and finished as a Pro Bowl-caliber starter on the league's stingiest total defense. He will emerge from the shadows to become a household name once he gets a mega contract.
Sporting News
7. A.J. Bouye, CB, Texans: Bouye had flashed before but really broke out as a strong cover corner in 2016. He was well-rounded and all over the field, with his 16 passes defensed, INT, sack and 64 tackles. At 6-0, 191 pounds, the 25-year-old also has great size to make him well worth it.

7. A.J. Bouye, CB, Houston Texans A.J. Bouye was one of the breakout players of the 2016 season, likely earning himself a lot of money. The risk is that anybody handing him that contract is working from just one season of tape, but it was one consistent season—the expected regression never really came—and it does feature 17 games, thanks to Houston's playoff campaign. Over the year, Bouye allowed just 50.5 percent of passes thrown his way to be caught for a passer rating of 58.5 from opposing QBs.
PFF also had a nice article breaking down which corners were best covering each route type. Bouye was the top corner against slant routes, and 2nd best against in and out breaking routes.

Like I said, this is not the Baalke/Harbaugh era where they talk highly about a player and then release him afterwards. Remember Lynch used to be a player himself and will treat current players with respect and the way he would've liked to be treated back then.
