Buffalo Bills

Green Bay Packers
Kansas City Chiefs
Denver Broncos
Los Angeles Chargers
Las Vegas Raiders
Baltimore Ravens
Indianapolis Colts
Dallas Cowboys
overall team ?

I think only the Bills are above us.

Bills & 49er are the only teams that has stayed nearly the same but added more quality players

all the other teams are question marks and haven't proven what they will be like with the players lost or gained

Since apparently it's already been established the niners are just depth and lacking in star power, I'm genuinely curious to to see a comparison of superstar power of these 10 teams and Williams, Bosa, Deebo, Kittle and Warner

IMO, it seems like each of these teams have like 5-6 players who are either household names, or at the top of their position, production, ranking wise, etc.... These are just off the top of my head, I probably missed some.

Buffalo Bills- Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Tre'Davious White, Von Miller, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer

Los Angeles Rams- Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey, Allen Robinson, Leonard Floyd

Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Shaq Barrett, Devin White, Carlton Davis III, Chris Godwin

Cincinnati Bengals- Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Jessie Bates III, Trey Hendrickson

San Francisco 49ers- Trent Williams, Deebo Samuel, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, George Kittle, Kyle Juszyzck

Green Bay Packers- Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Jaire Alexander, Preston Smith

Kansas City Chiefs- Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce, Joe Thuney, Orlando Brown Jr.

Denver Broncos- Russell Wilson, Justin Simmons, Bradley Chubb, Patrick Surtain II, Garett Bolles

Los Angeles Chargers- Justin Herbert, Joey Bosa, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, J.C. Jackson, Khalil Mack

Las Vegas Raiders- Derek Carr, Davante Adams, Chandler Jones

Baltimore Ravens- Lamar Jackson, Ronnie Stanley, Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters

Indianapolis Colts- Matt Ryan, Quenton Nelson, Darius Leonard, DeForest Buckner, Stephon Gilmore

Dallas Cowboys- Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Tyron Smith, Demarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb

We're the only team where you didn't list the QB. Hopefully that changes after this year.

That there is going to be the major key

Yeah, hopefully after 2022 we can put Trey, and I'd even put Aiyuk there as a guy who should be considered, heck Jimmie Ward & Arik Armstead are so underrated, they should be included IMO.

Buffalo Bills- Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Tre'Davious White, Von Miller, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer

Los Angeles Rams- Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey, Allen Robinson, Leonard Floyd

Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Shaq Barrett, Devin White, Carlton Davis III, Chris Godwin

Cincinnati Bengals- Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Jessie Bates III, Trey Hendrickson

San Francisco 49ers- Trent Williams, Deebo Samuel, Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, George Kittle, Kyle Juszyzck, Arik Armstead, Jimmie Ward (Brandon Aiyuk & Trey Lance in 2023)

Green Bay Packers- Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, Jaire Alexander, Preston Smith

Kansas City Chiefs- Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce, Joe Thuney, Orlando Brown Jr.

Denver Broncos- Russell Wilson, Justin Simmons, Bradley Chubb, Patrick Surtain II, Garett Bolles

Los Angeles Chargers- Justin Herbert, Joey Bosa, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, J.C. Jackson, Derwin James, Corey Linsley

Las Vegas Raiders- Derek Carr, Davante Adams, Chandler Jones

agreed, that's why that premise makes zero sense. So to me it looks like they have great depth and star power in comparison to the rest of the league, When I compared the teams, The only team I see that has an apparent edge on paper to everyone else is the Chargers, I actually wouldn't put Mack in the list but rather sub in Linsley and James. But I can see argument for Mack

So based on AB's work you think this is a top 2 roster in the NFL which would make this the #1 seed in the NFC? There's a couple others who agree with you. Others are in the 5-8 range. So what exactly is your issue here?

ABs work lol. Already did the work, wanted you to do it because you are the one saying they are just deep but lack star power in comparison to the other contenders. Not sure how many times I have to tell you I think it's a top 5 roster. I've also asked you to explain your logic on how they are deep, but lack star power, but you can't do it. What it boils down to is you don't like that they don't go hog wild in FA or go after the big names you want.

Yes, I believe we're lacking a couple difference makers: QB, anybody in the secondary, big questions along the OL, Deebo possibly, big question mark at 2i if Kinlaw can't play at a high level, league-leading injuries, etc. Also, you keep referencing our stars but how have our stars done in the playoffs? Stars are typically difference makers that make the plays when needed most. Our OL and secondary have proven to be anti-playmakers when needed most. Same with the QB and now we have a brand new QB. So rating them 7th among this group seems pretty fair and gracious given what I just laid out. I also ranked their depth as #1 and a possible reason for ending higher than 7th in the end. Vegas has us as 6th. The original author of this exercise had us at 5.

Haha. I said playoffs...not plays nerded to get into the playoffs (that was awesome though). Could have used more of that in the NFCCG...que Tartt.

I think Ambry & Ward will be a great combo this year & in the future.

As far as roster rankings, like I said, it seems each team has 5-6 stars or household names, where would I rank the roster? idk, it's top 5 IMO, I do like TB, LAR, BUF, & KC, heck I might put CIN above the Chiefs in the top 5, or even the Chargers.

When I look at roster rankings, I go off of 1. how many stars they have, like All Pro's, we have Warner, Kittle, Deebo(not going anywhere), Bosa, & Trent, and 2. depth, so if you ask me, yes I think we 1. have a top 5 roster, and 2. our roster is a super bowl roster, most of the pieces from 2019 are still here, and we've gotten better in some areas IMO, we've seen guys like Moseley, Al-Shaair, and others step up.

But that's my 2 cents lol

My bad I get defensive when it comes to our secondary.

Yeah, it'd be nice to have some ballhawks, but my issue with that is, they usually get burned, or don't produce like they should, people call Ramsey a lockdown CB, which he is, but he gets burned, just like every DB in the league, especially when you have someone speedy like Cooper Kupp, I think John realized the weakness at CB, got a very very good one in Charvarius Ward, added Ambry & Lenoir last year, Moseley's come along, added Womack & Castro-Fields, Safety is the one area where I'm a bit worried, namely SS, I love Ward, I like Hufanaga, and Odum, I also like Moore, love the UDFA O'Neal, so we'll see.

Zero issues with that or how you came to that conclusion. When you're talking playoffs caliber rosters, there's usually pretty small differences between the #1 seed and the last seed.

Agreed, very little differences, if Trey lights it up, that makes the 49ers an instant contender every year like KC is with Mahomes, let's all hope that happens, cause I think Lance will be deadly, especially if they can work whatever the issue is with Deebo out.

That's the first name that popped in your head when you thought of a speedy WR?

So it sounds like it really comes down to QB play, because the guys I rattled off are not only difference makers, but top 3 at their position in this league. Positions that are considered the marquee positions outside of QB
and yes read the original authors rankings and agreed with them.

Now go cue up Wards INT at the goal line in NFCCG, Williams INT in WC and the punch out FF in the divisional lol

No, because of the issues I noted. Jimmy...Trey in year 1 of a starter in an offense that throws the least? They'll both be effective. It's the other issue that could (and have) caught up to us plus the lack of clutch QB play. I don't expect a year 1 starter to be (too) clutch...enough to make up for the other issues. Issues that have cost teams with well established bonefide top starting QB's.

Now, if we end up having the #1 ranked OL like the last 2 Superbowl winners, our other ER goes off in the playoffs, our secondary actually doesn't give up 21 points in 5 minutes AND makes plays, we stay really healthy like the Rams, Deebo stays and goes off again, Kinlaw for our run defense, etc.

That just seems like a lot to overcome to win a Superbowl this year.

And again, have your top paid players played at that level through the playoffs?
