and of course we are going to lose a safety that we needed to the saints...... prepare for lynch fans to say.. we did not need Tyrann,,,,, we like our guys... we just need to bring back tartt... GOD FORBID,, lynch make a move that could get us closer to getting us over the hump. i guess its better to just be competitive and be happy jt is no longer our coach... i do not know if we even made a run at him.. but I am sooo sick of people telling me . that keeping jimmy does not prevent us from signing people and extending people....... we are not doing either or else we are scouring the dollar store for those dollar mystery grab bags in the hopes of finding someone decent.... if i believe keeping jimmy is not the problem, then the problem is a incompetent gm with a stupid little worthless useless gold jacket

Other than the 2020 wtf season, we've had a couple monster teams under Lynch and Shanahan and i'm not stressing one bit. They've proven to be trailblazers that other GMs and coaches want to emulate. They still get so much hatred from this fanbase. We could always go back to Baalke and some of those other HC's before Shanahan.

ok,, typical... just because some fans dare to be critical of lynch and kyle... does not mean we want joe thomas or trent or jt or ken meyer back. one thing does not always have to lead to another

You can be critical, but sometimes I can't tell the difference between a fan being critical of Baalke (8 years ago?) and Lynch now. It's not the same. I wish I would read more things like "This may be Lynch's worst offseason, but thank god we have him." He's done a lot of good.

Imagine you're dating a chick now and you're good to her, but you don't clean the house very well. You get compared to her ex who also didn't clean very well, but also beat her. That's what Baalke and others did to us. They beat us with a belt and shoes and we had to wear makeup in public and lots of clothing to cover the bruises they left us. Lynch isn't perfect, but he doesn't abuse us. He could very well become our step-father and we should accept it now.

he does not help us get over the hump at all. oh by the way. i cleaned the house and never beat her but it still did not work out because she had to generate create and prolong drama just like lynch is doing with jimmy g and deebo. your telling us we need to accept lynch as our step father is creepy at best. mind controlling at worst. . I thought i saw her last night then i realized it was just a bat

Some folks loved Baalke despite those beatings.

We were never gonna pay the honey badger. He's from New Orleans and I'll bet money he took a home town discount to play for them. Outside of the top 4ish S in this class I really didn't want any of them. Won't be shocked if Tartt is back dirt cheap.

I wouldn't say going to a SB and NFCC two of the last 3 yrs is being just competitive. I wouldn't say spending yrs of 1sts to get a QB of the future as not making a move...I mean that's the biggest trade and draft move this franchise has ever made. Gotta see how that all plays out, but it was far from not doing much or playing it safe.

Overall I liked their draft. We weren't gonna be the Jets or the Giants. We don't suck and don't have a plethora of high end picks that come with being bad. We weren't gonna be the Ravens who had to trade away their 1st rd pick WR from a couple yrs ago and are always moving players for picks (which for the most part don't turn out as great as people think). People love want Baltimore does every yr, but if you look back at their past couple drafts it's not that magical.

At this point whatever with Jimmy. He will get moved or he won't. I agree I think it absolutely hampered what they could have done in FA and Lynch literally said that. I would have cut him long ago but I'm also not talking to teams and Jimmy lol. At this pt the best bet is to let him get healthy and see what happens with teams in training camp. I can't see that cash being on the books come WK1.

Getting Lance is suppose to be getting SF over the hump. Gotta see how that goes first

Lynch has been walking through this off-season blindfolded. So much talent we missed out on.

if we remove his center and hope a unknown can do the job... if lynch allows the deebo thing to go south worse than what it is... it does not help trey or us. i love trey.. he is better than what we had last year but my god... he can not prevent our secondary from getting toasted. i think they did some decent things with the o line this weekend and mack better stay..

The worst thing is that the saints were like 90m over the cap. Yet we still make excuses due to our cap situation. Bullcrap.

It's easy to say that this off season hasn't been great for SF. The Deebo and JG situations are bad enough but they didn't sign any major free agents and lost a couple of starters. (Mostert and Tomlison) as well as D J Jones. The draft may or may not turn out to be a good one but we didn't land any high profile players and Lynch didn't make any moves. On the surface, the draft looks very average and uneventful. Like I said that doesn't mean it won't turn out well but I can see how a fan could look at it and not be impressed.

This is on point. To add to that, there are 4-5 teams whose front offices are built right out of the Lynch/Shanahan direct tree. They are well regarded by the NFL community.

Also on the draft overall, we picked at the end of every round, and there were almost 60% more players available in this draft compared to last year. Hence, the depth commentary and why they felt they could wait with their picks. Who knows how that will play out.

you keep using the word "if" how about we wait to see "if" any of that other stuff happens first?

"if" Deebo was gonna get moved IMO it would have happened. "if" Mack retires it frees up some more cap space and they could go sign JC Tretter who's run a similar scheme and a damn good center in his own right. I agree we can't have Mack retire though.

Where are you getting this take of our secondary getting roasted? Overall the numbers don't match that take. They have IMO 3 starting CBs in Mosely/Ward/Thomas. They drafted two more CBs and Jimmie Ward is one of the best coverage S in football. We have multiple great coverage LBers as well. Toss in a blitzkrieg of defensive lineman, overall I'm not worried about our defense.

The unknowns for me are on the OL. They got 4 OL (plus West) that are all either what ifs from last yr or rookies this yr. They've put some picks into that position group and the competition will help the cream rise to the top.

I mean are you a fan of SFs higher end free agency signings in the past For the most part the bigger named guys they signed never lived up to the price tag.

At this point they just need to pay Deebo and see what's up with Mack. After that I'm fine with for the most part after the draft.
I don't think I've ever been so excited for an nfl season

Are you telling me you're OK with moseley and thomas as our starting corners? You're ok with our safeties as theyre currently signed? You're ok with Mack coming back at center? You're ok with mcglinchey at right tackle? You're ok with brunskill? You're ok with the big fat question mark at left guard? They had opportunities to improve at all of these positions, and they failed to do so. This offseason has been a disaster. I'm sure they'll be "fine" I'm tired of being fine.

i did not know that... now i am really pissed... i know there are home town discounts excuses... but i have also been told... players want to play for kyle and lynch and may take less money in order to win.... that theory is gone.. so is the theory that keeping jimmy is not preventing us from signing and extending people.. its a f**king 27 million dollar anchor around our neck. and lynch seems to be fine with it.. back to the safety thing... for those who say.. he was to much.. oh.. he is over rated blah blah.. so whats the plan at safety which is GLARING need. it was before thursday... whats the plan.... sign tartt or HOPE some undrafted rookie who is close to attaining nate davis status on the web zone can just step in
