What's more disrespectful? Not getting ANY offer to this stage after initial talks being so far apart (Deebo) or an actual offer that's super insulting (AJ Brown)?
It's business. Got understand it. Best defensive player in league didn't get his deal done until training camp.
Don't know what initial talks even were. Could be Deebos camp gave them what they wanted and 9ers have been pondering the whole time.
You and I get the business side but a guy like Deebo is all about the respect (show me you want me). He's just that kind of dude. Once he feels you aren't going in like he did for you, he's out.
I could be wrong on that but that's usually how bully's operate. They're like the only-child. Haha
There's so much speculation around this issue at this point, tough to evaluate from the outside. Lynch openly stated that Deebo and Bosa should be niners for a long time. As for the specifics of offers, etc, who knows. Also, the agent represents two players, Deebo and AJ, who have different values from my perspective (that topic alone has a lot of nuances). That element is weird...
If all sides are professionals, they should expect each to represent their sides strongly and eventually come to an agreement. All this stuff in public looks bad. The niners have historically played things professionally with respect to free agency, draft intentions, player deals, etc.
