There's so much speculation around this issue at this point, tough to evaluate from the outside. Lynch openly stated that Deebo and Bosa should be niners for a long time. As for the specifics of offers, etc, who knows. Also, the agent represents two players, Deebo and AJ, who have different values from my perspective (that topic alone has a lot of nuances). That element is weird...

If all sides are professionals, they should expect each to represent their sides strongly and eventually come to an agreement. All this stuff in public looks bad. The niners have historically played things professionally with respect to free agency, draft intentions, player deals, etc.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the end. I've covered just about every angle possible to this point so now we'll just sit back and see how it all plays out.

Meh. Last year when Trent was ready to make a decision he called Kyle and said I am ready get paraag on line or I head to KC. It was done shortly after that. I think paraag runs numbers that's about it. Kyle has the ultimate say.

Paraag doesn't conduct HC and GM interviews? Doesn't sit in the war room and swing trades with other GM's? Doesn't get Peter King to write about him as a future GM? Doesn't own a huge R&D Moneyball department? Doesn't have the same exact patterns for 21 years now no matter the GM/HC?

I work closely with the hospitality industry which has a common setup to how I think sports (and Niners) franchises are run. GMs run the show, but the numbers are run by Finance who often is closely aligned with the owner, for obvious reasons. It's not uncommon for CFOs to be longer tenured than GMs.
I don't think Paraag runs the show but he is Jeds right hand guy. He'll be there before and after Kyle. But it's Kyle's team. He says what he wants and Paraag needs to make it work under the cap. Paraag is a bright dude, we are lucky to have him.

This is how it works in a lot of corporations. Paraag isnt dictating who the 49ers sign, resign, or not sign, resign. His job is to advise Lynch of how much money he has to deal with and how contracts will help/hurt the team in future years. Some guys on here act like Paraag is telling Lynch "No you can't have that player" and so forth.

He's tenured longer than anyone else solely bc his job is independent from everyone else. He's not tied to any regime and he's certainly not running the show. If one regime fails due to coaching or whatever then that has nothing to do with him.
