Never said he was a bad coach. Just asked what he had won? Nada zip.

Ok. Good job

I've always believed that if you think a guy can be a franchise QB you should take him, even if there is a guy like Garrett on the board. For example if you think Trubisky has a 60% chance of being a top 10 QB and Myles Garrett is on the board and you feel he has a 90% to be a all pro, you still should take the QB. A top teir QB is just too important in this league.

In the 2008 draft the Dolphins took Jake Long #1 overall, the Rams took Chris Long #2, and the Falcons took Matt Ryan #3. Sure both Long's might of been rated higher than Matt Ryan and Jake Long was an all pro LT, but if you do that draft again I guarantee Matt Ryan goes #1. Thats why I don't understand why some people have made statements like "if the niners draft one of the QB's with Garrett still on the board then Lynch should be fired on the spot."

Lastly, like you said, the way the rookie contracts are now you aren't forced to only take 1 QB in the first round for 5 years. The Panthers used their 2nd rd pick on Jimmy Claussen and then the next year used their 1st overall pick on Cam Newton

That's very well said but a lot of offensive coaches would rather load up elsewhere and develop a qb. Miami signed Pennington and took Chad Henne in the 2nd and actually went from 1-15 to 11-5 year 1 but you need a qb for long term success. So they'd repick Ryan but on the flip side if that was Griffen they'd be happy they passed.
Even Steve Young's drinking the Kool-Aid. Hyperbole or not, good enough for me.
So is there anyone still hating on this? I mean the real doom and gloom, Im not a fan anymore types.

He can come to a s**t team like the Browns and would be successful on a few years.

No he came to a team that was projected to win the NFC West the year before and because of bad coaching fell apart.

We were projected to win the NFC West under Singletary? Can't say I recall that.

No, it was always Arizona or Seattle. Lol. We had the 7th pick in the draft But we were projected to win the west. Lol.

Jcool probably won't even back that up with the Vegas predictions from that year because he would be wrong.

In 2010 the 49ers were OVERWHELMING favorites to win the West, especially after Kurt Warner retired. get it together

That's great. Harbaugh took over in 2011.

Out of 12 people, nobody picked the 49ers. Vegas didn't have the 49ers best in the NFC West that year. They had them like 3rd

Cool, I remember, people were expecting us to get the first pick. What does that have to do with you not recalling that the 49ers were ever favorites to win the west under SINGLETARY?

Just checked the 2010 predictions. Most people still had Aizona. Vegas and oddshark had Arizona. A few people may have had the 49ers, but Arizona was still the overwhelming favorite as far as predictions and Vegas go.

Vegas has AZ at 7.5 wins. SF was at 8.5.
I want to see 49ers go after Myles Garret or Ruben Foster for first rd pick -- trade back in and pick up McCaffrey .. I believe shanaham would use Hyde and Him very well ...
In free agency go after Alshon Jeffrey ..

quarterback..all the way. we have zero Qbs at the moment, what the hell do we need an edge rusher/ILB, and runner for when we don't even have a player to hand off the ball after the snap...Trub...

With Harbaugh the 49ers would have won more and probably would have drafted better. Once the dissenter was shown the door things got much worse all around.
When did the league catch up to the offense?

Seriously? When the other team knew our plays better than our own guys i'd say the league caught up to us.

The man was brought in to improve the offense and be a QB whisperer and the offense and QB got worse with time.

I don't want to take over this thread with this stuff I just find the idea that Harbaugh was irreplaceable to be a fairy tale.

Hqarbaugh has been absolutely irreplaceable.
The offense got worse with the 49ers front office draft and FA philosophy, they let the line and WR corps go to hell and did nothing to stop the bleeding.
The 49ers scored more points each year that Harbaugh was here.

Michigan's 2017 recruiting class highest-rated in program history

By Stephen Pianovich
February 1, 2017
Michigan fans were able to celebrate on National Signing Day when 5-star DT Aubrey Solomon put on a Michigan hat at his commitment ceremony.

It was a big deal for a lot of reasons: It gives Michigan one of the best defensive linemen in the country, it shows Jim Harbaugh can beat Nick Saban in a recruiting battle and Solomon's commitment means that Michigan's 2017 recruiting class is the best in school history.

Lmfao some posters still hating on Harbaugh huh??

Some say we had a loaded roster when Harbaugh came?? Ok why didnt the previous coach do anything with that loaded roster?? If all we needed was a so called loaded roster.
