I've been thinking along this line of thought, myself ...

"Somewhere in there I think he said we're going to run the football."

It's just pure torture. That's got to be worse than waterboarding.

Just keep Paraag a good stiff arm away and they'll be better for it.... As long as he maintains the perception of being trustworthy, he'll get a long enough leash from the fans to see if this will work. The second he turns in to a Jedbot, will be the second his goose is cooked.

This is Lynch's 4th straight year being a finalist. How's this for an uphill climb:

http://www.denverbroncos.com/news-and-blogs/article-1/John-Lynch-Terrell-Davis-among-Hall-of-Fame-finalists/a52d3142-5f29-444c-ac28-d7623e6ff81b
Lynch is a prime example of how the Hall of Fame has struggled to honor pure safeties in recent decades. No pure safety to have played since 1981 is in the Hall.

"I think that's the sentiment that I feel most strongly about, and I've communicated [it] when asked by the Hall of Fame writers, that, hey, I certainly would like if it was me, but I think this is something that needs to change," Lynch explained last year. "That argument really doesn't hold water with me.

"Maybe at one point that position was one that wasn't of great import in football and on defenses, but I think as anyone has seen the position evolve -- and that's where I feel fairly good about being a part of that position changing, because early in football, they were just kind of a last line of defense."

Kyle winning will attract more FAs and assistant coaches to come here. I hope the Falcons find a way to blow out the pats, and out-scheme them.

Absolutely, you'd have a Super Bowl winner and HOFer at GM paired with a Super Bowl winning coach. That's as good a sounding tandem as it gets. I'm already pumped to watch this Super Bowl, and will be rooting hardcore for the Falcons to take home that trophy.

Yup me to. I hope Atlanta puts up big points on the Pats D. Anything to add to Shanahans credibility coming in the door. Go Falcons!

One thing that is an instant upgrade over Baalke is Lynch is a much more personable guy and you need that if you're going to be talking to the media and dealing with players. Baalke is a scout, his personality is that of a scout, his people skills flat out stink and listening to him talk to the media or fans would make you wonder how he got a management position.

Lynch will kill him in that regard. Also more likeable. I was always a fan of Lynch as a player, I'm disappointed that the team did not get some of the other more qualified guys but will give Lynch a chance.

I am worried about a first time GM with a first time coach. Could be great or an absolute failure and we know how this organization deals with adversity.

I feel the same. That said, aside from Elway connecting with Manning, is personality or player street credibility reasons why a free agent signs with a team? I sure hope so...it certainly can't hurt.

Aww man, Lynch is already a puppet for Jed:

I was afraid of this, first time GM turned "Yes Man", towing the company line and stroking Paraag already.

His perception of trustworthiness is already in question?.... Not a good way to start your career.
