No jury out on Taylor. He was a 7th round pick. The fact he made the roster a couple years and contributed is already a win.

Yes, he's been good and carved out a spot for himself on a deep team. He's a keeper.

He's done nothing for 2 years in a row now and this current roster is more competitive than it was in 2017, I bet he struggles to stick.

Is it though? If Taylor comes back healthy and plays up to the standard he set year one does he really miss out to Pettis, Goodwin, James?

We've only got 3 regular contributors at WR. Taylor has every chance if his health is right.

Wait, my comment was about Jullian Taylor, not Tent Taylor...

Lol didn't read back far enough. My bad.

In that case I'd agree on Julian. Funny how your comment could accurately describe both.

We're keeping sanders and Taylor's not unseating him as starter.

If Taylor's 100% that gives us some needed depth and Sanders probably only has a few more good years on him at his age. That's a good problem to have.
I think one of the biggest jobs Lynch & Shanahan have done is build the culture and locker room, they work hard AND have fun, not many like that.

I can't see anyone actually wanting to leave, any who go will be business decisions and I think that's huge.

Who said he was? 53 man roster contains more WR than just "starters".

Agree. They were very careful who they paid money to. They extended players like Staley, but guys like Ward and Arik weren't. Just look how they got Kwon, that dude is a fireball and a leader. Sherman is a leader on the defense. They were very deliberate from a cultural point of view who they elevated with money and who they didnt. Masterful job.

this is how a true dynasty is built. Not just a few good years then self destruct a la Harbaugh baalke. These two guys work well together and built the culture so current players want to stay and future stars want to play here.
What I love about this team, is that with Lynch and Shanny in place, we're going to be like most teams, we will stay great, and stay competitive. This whole team was rebuilt, and polished by total experts from starters to depth. In contrast, the last time we were successful, the talent was inherited from 2 different regimes, and the run was done before it had already begun.

This alone is why everything feels so good about this team.

I think we have a good chance to stay competitive. Kyle's insane ability to plug in grocery clerks and target baggers into his offense is unbelievable. That's a big advantage come draft time because a lot of the draft can go to defense and the other areas of the team. I mean give this guy 10 fifth round draft picks and he'll get 10 hall of famers there - in my opinion.
So after the loss against the Vikings I expect this thread to be loaded with lynch hating.

Well, if there is, there will be a whole lot of suspensions and bannings. Getting to the playoffs is better than par this season, remembering where we thought we were before the season.

On another matter, Lynch has now signed three of these reserve/futures contract players. I do wonder if any of them will have an impact next season or if they are just future Practice Squad players. Interestingly all three are D players.
