I would absolutely feel better if they had guys like Jones, young, Montana, Lott etc around the team, the facility and the stadium. I think the Giants having those guys around is a positive for the team, the FO and the fans.
before you assume, do more research about the guy (Lynch). that's not all he has done

Having those Giants haven't done anything to help the Giants. Plus how many time you waited in line to get Garlic Fries with Willie Mays

I think having those Giants around absolutely has helped the Giants team, they are part of the successful culture. Look at the culture in Santa Clara since the Yorks took over and removed all traces of the glory years.
I have talked to Orlando Cepeda twice at the stadium during games.
Why are you denigrating these former 49ers?
those past giants didn't create anything. they were around before the giants started winning as far back as Candlestick days.

im not denigrating anyone. If your worried why aren't they around then you need to ask them instead of blaming the 49ers

Jed has said the door is open for all Alumni. Past players do come by but they don't stay they just visit. Haley last year stayed and helped

You don't think they are worthy of being any part of the current 49ers.
And you wrote:
i'm kinda disappointed they haven't done anything to make them worthy really
That is denigrating IMO.

I think what these players did in the glory years makes them worthy of being around and being used as advisers.

All we're doing is using Lynch's namesake while other people doing the work for 2 or 3 years. Free agents will come to us now live, I guarantee that. I love this hire

Yeah, I hated when they came to us dead. Not very useful.
Was typing while driving. Yall simple I swear

Haha. Auto correct vets me weekly. Just had to chuckle. Don't post and drive, bro. Friends don't let friends post while driving.

These past few Giants have created that successful culture. The only player around the team that ever won a World Series as a Giant was Mays with one. The past players around the Giants did not create the culture there.

I think honoring the past greats has been one of the Giants keys to success. They are admired by players and coaches for how they treat their former players and having great HOFers around is good for the young players.

Patriots didn't do that when they became successful. Phil Jackson didn't with the Lakers, even was a driving force with West leaving. Spurs didn't when they became successful. It plays no part except makes a few fans feel better

i didn't unfairly criticize past players

Like i said earlier, everyone is welcomed. It's up to them if they want to stay and be a part of it.

Look where shunning those greats got the 49ers under the Yorks. Making the fans happy is such a terrible thing for the owners to do.
Why have they turned their back on the glory years?

What makes you think Steve Young, Brent Jones or Jerry Rice are welcome?

Apparently dude wasn't at Cal for a degree in English.

UCLA? amirite?

He went to Berkeley (JUCO transfer) and majored in interdisciplinary studies.

WTF is interdisciplinary studies?

Interdisciplinary studies is an approach to answering questions, solving problems and addressing contemporary social issues from multiple perspectives. Interdisciplinary studies students take an active role in designing their educational plans and defining their career goals.

Good to have if there's a kneeling qb on the team, who might quit football

I have not seen evidence of this being true and we all know what happened to the Debartolo era photos in HQ when the Yorks took over.

I wish they would make more of an effort to link to the past, that's all.

I don't think there was a committee but that is beside the point.

Harbaugh took all the photos down, man you are reaching for anything now
