I'm hoping AC returns to what he was at the end of 17. That's really our best and only hope. Ward will be injured by game 4.

Me too

I for sure thought DB of some sort. There's some nice picks on the board.
I did have a gut it could be a WR but in no way ever did Hurd come across the thought.

Maybe some DB's fall. Not feeling that pick. Lol killed my momentum feels

Drafting for need is usually a disaster, although I do agree with CB/S is critical in this draft.

I feel like they could've went DB and then grab WR. More than likely he would've been there in the 4th.
Hey Lynch, back to back high draft picks at wideout? Flag Football League starts June 23rd.

I think its more that they like Ward, AC, Tartt, Harris and they chose Witherspoon, McFadden and Reed for a reason. Spending a 3rd on another DB in a weak DB class probably wasnt too appealing to them. I was thinking with TO announcing the pick and that popcorn ready line... they would go with an unexciting OL like Conor McGovern haha.

We shall see what the kids (minus Ward) do this year.

Possibly - yet there may not have been a DB rated as high as Hurd.
Looks like if we have an Achilles heel, it'll remain pass protection and coverage in the back end.

Can't fix everything in 1 offseason, we fixed the pass rush, and WR corps, always next offseason.
well they fixed the pass rush. Now we need to see what we have in this secondary. I don't really buy that improved pass rush will help them out that dramatically, but we will see what happens.

It's probably going to be a top need next year. I guess you can't fix everything in one offseason. I'm happy with how things played out. Fixed the edge rush. Fixed the red zone problems.
This team is going to look really different next season on both sides of the ball

Agreed. I think the Jason Verrett addition may prove to be More impactful than a lot of people are expecting as well... fingers crossed anyway.

Not correct. Shanahan fell in love with Deebo and Hurd, he had to have them and over-drafted them a little high
Shanahan thirsts for a great offense, and these WR's were both hand picked by Shanahan

Probably. I don't think it will be as bad as last year though. With guys that can get open quick and not being so reliant on Goodwin, JG can get rid of the ball quicker. As for back coverage,I didn't like passing on safety, but maybe the thought is they want to see how the young guys looks with the upgraded pass rush. I don't think they can do much about O-line this late in the draft. Hoping we can get some athletic guys that we can develop. Will be fun to see who gets added on day 3. As for UDFAs, I'm not as high on that as I was in previous years. Not too many are likely to ever make the team.

It's been THREE off seasons ... no more excuses
