cc, welcome back! I'm optimistic about Lynch and Shanahan - very, actually. Here's what I posted earlier today:
Lynch is a smart guy. He knows his shortcomings as a new GM and will bring in someone like Dominik, who has tons of GM/personnel evaluating experience. He'll also rely upon Gamble's insights through this draft and maybe will retain him. And, he'll collaborate with the new HC Shanahan, who has a ton of experience evaluating the QB position and the O in general. Let's not forget about Mike Shanahan...thought he might not be hired in an official role, he will provide his insight when asked (and, with Lynch's close relationship with him, Lynch I'm sure will run some things by him from time to time). Kyle, as a first-time HC, will also consult with his dad here and there (wouldn't you?). So yet another resource in Mike. Lynch and Kyle, who are football guys, will be surrounded with experienced people who are extremely capable of making quality football + personnel decisions.
