He could go 1-15 and still retain his job. He's going nowhere. 6 year contract.

Did we win last week? Sorry I can't tell from the comments of the sky is falling crowd.

I guess they thought we should be 2-0 and be beating teams 49-3 in year 2 of a rebuild. Could have sworn everyone thought this would be at least a 4 year rebuilding effort.

but but but we only beat the Lions by 3 points and they suck!!! Doesn't matter.

people can question decisions made by lynch and coaching decisions made by kyle and not want those two back. we can always be confident if you dare question this regime. you get. bring back trent and others back.

Oh, LOL.

Fair question. I'd say 8 (I predicted 7-9).

Without a dominant OL or ER, that's as good as it gets. That's on John 100%. I won't put injuries on him.

Kyle can scheme around not having a WR1 you can gameplan around but only if all 3 are healthy. We're seeing the affects on the whole unit when Goodwin is down.

Growing List of Lynch/Shanahan Mistakes:

1. Trading Trent Brown for a 5th Rounder.
2. Not giving up 2 1st for Khalil Mack. After totally screwing up that Soloman Thomas first rounder, I really have no confidence in this group to draft well in the first.

Really, the whinging in this place is just embarrassing. A "growing" list. Two! And you are wrong about both.

Trading Brown was a pity in my view, but getting a 3rd for him was incredible. I don't see how this can be assessed as a mistake bearing in mind his weight problem and the fact that he doesn't fit in with Shanahan's scheme. But tackle isnt where the problem was on the line anyway.

Khalil Mack- It was a trade. You have no way of knowing whether the Raiders were even prepared to trade him to us but several commentators have said that they went with the Bears because they were confident that their 1st round picks would be significantly earlier. Personally I would have been very unhappy at trading two first round picks for him, let alone two plus whatever extra bounty the Raiders demanded to offset the perceived likely difference in draft position.

Solomon Thomas- At present he is a disappointing pick. To leap from that to losing all confidence in the team's ability to draft well in the first suggests a hidden agenda. The draft is a lottery. You ought to know that. There is no difference between drafting in the first and drafting in subsequent rounds. Only your perception. The team's drafting has been excellent, bearing in mind that it has been completely rebuilt in 2 seasons. And despite that, one poster came up with the idiotic comment that maybe Baalke was better.

If after 2 years you can only come up with two somewhat tenuous complaints I would suggest the team are doing pretty good.

Thomas appears to be a bad fit and if that continues to be the case he is a bad pick. So many needs and Lynch went redundant.

Kelly had a five year deal and Jed promised the fans he was "going to be around for a long time".

True. It could totally blow up. I shouldn't count anything out regarding Jed.

Kelly didn't have a fully guaranteed deal nor a hand picked GM with the same.

Unless people are arguing that Jed should have stuck it out longer with Chip and Tomsula?

The dynamic duo of either Kelly and Baalke or Fartsula and Baalke?

I hope we stay the course for continuity sake, that is one reason I support Saleh. But I do not trust Jed yet.

I am arguing the six year deal does not guarantee Lynch will be around for any length of time.

Oh yeah don't count out how Jed can royally screw things up. Best thing for baldy to do is stay out of football operations for another 5 years.

And NE is 20th in offense and 28th in defense?? What's your point, it's two games.

The amount of whining in here is unreal. I get why other fan bases call us "whiners"

I swear people just prefer to complain for the hell of it.
I still think Solomon will be an outstanding 3-tech. I can see what you see on that. Now all we need is an edge rusher. It's still too early to grade our GM in my opinion, but doing the Baalke ACL thing and wasting a 4th rounder this year is not something I'll give a good grade for.
