No, he does not. Shanahan's scheme is the easiest in the business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What does Shanahan's scheme has to do with whether or not a rookie DL is playing or not? Seems to me that would be Saleh's call. I imagine Taylor will get his shot before the year is out. He had one good preseason game and another where he made a couple of plays. I suspect a lot of what goes into who will be playing on Sundays is based on how guys practice. Since none of us are privy to what goes on during practice its probably presumptuous to say he should be starting over whoever else is out there.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

who is they.. i am fine with a fourth round pick. god knows we treat them like xmas candy anyway. i would throw in bourne to. ward to plus some of his salary. its called taking a change to improve your team. at times it works like we did with brooks. at times it does not as the raiders found out with smith. but its better than just crawling into a fetal position ala mooch vs tampa bay

None of these players make any difference on the field. I like the Jimmy move. Hopefully the o line will get better. Not totally down on that unit. Foster great and bad. Right now the biggest blemish is Hologram Thomas .But don't worry b/c I've been told he's good against the run

it's just money, we still have cap space which should be all we care about as fans.

idc what they pay a player, just have to recognize when a player like Williams sucks and get him off the field. What happened to all of those young DB's that we drafted? One of them HAS to be better then Williams!

I can agree with this. We can't keep playing guys who make no difference at all

end of the day, I just don't value our picks that much.

3rd or 4th? Nah man don't be silly.

We all advocated a Mack trade but that's a WHOLE lot different then this.

I bet it's a conditional pick with little risk...that's a move worth taking.

It's why I used the word appears as opposed to is. But when he's on the field, the play speaks for himself. Jimmy Ward is hardly on the field, but we know enough to know he isn't good. In the time Foster has been on the field, would you say he is an average player? Is he the second coming of Derek Smith? With all his time in that blue tent, do you think, there's another Malcolm Smith? Or do you say to yourself, there's a guy that when on the field brings it. Again, he appears to be an All Pro. Whether he stays healthy enough and out of trouble to earn that status remains to be seen.

What do your own eyes tell you based on what you have seen? One season and two games, what would you say about Solomon Thomas?

Lets cut a scrub like Brown, creating a hole, and replace him with a first round rookie pick.

Lets sign a FB, and a Third down back to wayyyy inflated contracts.

shall i go on?

Not happy with the direction of this FO right now.

Our starting QB was handed to them with 0 effort on their part.

Yea I agree, so many boneheaded moves, let's extent armsdead and ward and not try to sign norwell. Looks like Solomon Thomas is struggling now too

Matt Breida- NFL's leading rusher

They signed Richard Sherman who looks like Richard Sherman

There was effort on their part to get JG. If Trent Baalke was the GM, we don't get JG, no matter how much we would've offered.

Signed Weston Richberg

George Kittle, even with those awful drops is far better than Vance McDonald and will likely eclipse McDonald's CAREER production this year.

Trent Taylor was an upgrade over Jeremy Kerley who's been cut twice since we released him.

They brought in Marquise Goodwin over Torrey Smith.

Fred Warner is near the top in the league in tackles.

Foster looks to be an All-Pro.

Signed Robbie Gould who has been gold.

Actually got a draft pick for Eli Harold.

And all and all, our games, even during the 9-game losing streak are better to watch. Far less three and outs. We move the ball much more consistently.

You can't just pick and choose which personnel moves you want to highlight.

With that said, I hate that Ward is still on the team. I wanted another guard in free agency or the draft. Passing on Carl Lawson in 2017 was a HUGE mistake. Joe Williams- enough said. Didn't make a stronger effort to sign Eric Reid (I'm not sold on Tartt). There are some hits and there are some misses. But let's not spin this like this is the 49ers post-Harbaugh or post-Mariucci. You state that you aren't happy with the direction of the front office, well I I have a simple question. As the FO goes, so goes the team. Are you unhappy with the direction of the team? Do you think we are better, worse, or the same as before?

Plus drafting his ex-stanford Classmate/Stud Solomon #3 overall!

Lynch has been up and down, but it's only been 2 years. He will learn the GM job and get better.

But let's not crown him just yet.
Absolutely. Some good hits. The misses are hurting his hits because of their mistakes. Definitely can't crown him. Trent Baalke looked like the second coming after his first two drafts (2010 and 2011). But Lynch definitely isn't a bad GM.

I'm kind of disappointed in Lynch. He definitely had a chance to get Mack and didn't want to pay up. He now has a chance to get Gordon, but he won't. You can say what you want about the picks given up or the salary given to Mack, or Gordon being a headache.

It doesn't change the fact that with those 2 players on this current roster, with Foster coming back, makes this team a legitimate threat to the Rams, Vikings, and Eagles. For this year and in the years to come. Good luck to him trying to add a top 2 ER and arguably a top 10 WR in the draft or FA.

The Lions wouldn't have sniffed 20 points with Mack coming off the edge yesterday.

The Bears offered something we probably wont have. A really bad teams draft slot. Thats what it was about. People always want to blame their own FO for things that were likely out of their control.

You have no idea what it would take, or any information about the actual situation. Outside "dang, would've been a nice addition", fans dont have any room for an opinion on these things.

Honestly, this is one of the better suggestions I've seen. I can't accept the 4th rounder though. In spite of the spotty record (Williams and the injured pick), that is still a round where you can land a decent starter or high quality back up. Maybe this is an opportunity to unload Arik Armstead.

I do think if Lynch is aggressive and creative enough, he can make this happen. Playing for Shanahan previously has got to help. The fact that it's California should be a plus to Gordon. Now if only he can have the personal discipline (lol) to wait until February to partake.

Looking at the scenario, if the 49ers offered the exact same thing as the Bears, if I'm the Raiders, I take the Bears offer. Notice how despite being spotted that huge lead, Mitch Trubisky couldn't close the deal? That's exactly why the Bears are expected to have a higher draft pick than the 49ers. Great breakdown.

Pretty fair. I don't see him becoming a game changer or play maker until he gets a chance to play inside a lot. I thought that might happen when we went up by 13. If we get another game where we have a huge lead, I'd like to see them have Buckner and Thomas play next to each other extensively just to see the potential of that pass rush.

Looks like the Pats are going to get Gordon. I'm so glad Lynch strongly expresses the Niners interest in acquiring players like Mack, Gordon, and probably Lev Bell next

You know, if I'm Cleveland, unless New England's deal is MASSIVELY better than 2nd place, why? As for your comments on Lynch, just wait and see what the deal was.
