It doesn't change the fact that with those 2 players on this current roster, with Foster coming back, makes this team a legitimate threat to the Rams, Vikings, and Eagles. For this year and in the years to come. Good luck to him trying to add a top 2 ER and arguably a top 10 WR in the draft or FA.

The Lions wouldn't have sniffed 20 points with Mack coming off the edge yesterday.

Don't know what else to say regarding Khalil... I just hope the two 1st rounders we did not give up turns out to be GAME CHANGERS..

you missed the memo. we did not need gordon. bell or mack. our 53 is nice. i guess the coaches are fine with 7 or 8 wins. you sign a great qb then. oh never mind
I love a ton of the moves we made over the past two years.

But I also expected them to address our 2 biggest needs too.
Well, it is reassuring to know that if Lynch signs Gordon, the webzone will be awash with criticism for wasting draft picks etc on a washed up addict, and if he doesn't sign him the webzone will be awash with criticism for not picking up a game changer, not trying to improve the team and yada yada.

Replace Gordon with any free agent name and repeat.

Damned when we do, damned when we don't.

not me. I will applaud him for taking a chance even if it doesn't work out.

I think I am coming to the conclusion that I don't want Gordon but I can live with either option.

They want Lynch to trade for him with only giving up a 7th round pick and with the guarantee that Gordon will produce 1,000 yards and never have any off the field issues ever again. I mean it's so simple, idk why Lynch can't figure this whole GM thing out.

I'm okay with him giving up a 3rd or 4th for the upside of elite talent. But I know I am in a minority. I also advocated the Khalil Mack trade..

end of the day, I just don't value our picks that much.

I strongly assume that we won't sign Gordon due to his inferior attitude.

this is football not Catholic School. If he can play IDC if he has an attitude, we could use him badly at the moment.
Given Lynch's opinion, we are a catholic school.

great question,

Because he's a 7th round rookie that needs time to develop?
No, he does not. Shanahan's scheme is the easiest in the business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two years of drafting and free agency and it seems the Baalke holdover, Buckner, is still the best player, by far, on the team.

I disagree, I think Jimmy is the best player on the team. Yeah he's going though some growing pains and nearly threw a pick 6, but he's flashed some franchise level QB talent. If we have that, the championship window is open every year.

I would have said the same a few weeks ago but i think buck has cemented that spot for now. Its early in the season though so things should improve.

On or about the 4th week is when you can see the final offense and basically what it's capable of. Until then, you are right, it should start gelling and improving. On defense, unless there's a trade for more talent at edge rusher - who we have at D Line is who we have and you live and die by what you have now - unfortunately.

What does Shanahan's scheme has to do with whether or not a rookie DL is playing or not? Seems to me that would be Saleh's call. I imagine Taylor will get his shot before the year is out. He had one good preseason game and another where he made a couple of plays. I suspect a lot of what goes into who will be playing on Sundays is based on how guys practice. Since none of us are privy to what goes on during practice its probably presumptuous to say he should be starting over whoever else is out there.

you two certainly do spend alot of time fretting about what posters may post about. i will give lynch credit for at least making a call as i suspect he is not like kyle. totally happy with the current group we have and always looking to improve
