So after the Gase information I feel about 1% better about York. I know that is harsh but he had the power to keep the disaster from happening and he didn't. He didn't because he didn't understand what was going on. Not understanding fundamental aspects of an organization you "run" is gross incompetence. He probably has learned some important things but I still have doubts about his ability to understand basic aspects of the dynamics of how an NFL team works. He insists on still being in charge so the best hope is that this time he picks truly competent people to run the team to make up for his lack of competence.
lol, is that you Tim

I don't follow TK. I've read maybe a half dozen of his articles in the last several years. I'm just expressing my feelings about York. I think those feelings are well justified.

Justified?, only to you. Not sure you realized what just happened here (this thread)

I gave my reasons for why I think it is justified. Obviously you disagree. That's cool. And, yes, I do realize what "just happened here". I just came to a different conclusions based on what is presented than you evidently did. I guess I could ask if you are a Jed sock puppet just because I came to different conclusions than you but that wouldn't be called for would it?

Pay no mind to him
Hey its my little minion hoof

if you need to jump to conclusions, then you are just on a witch hunt

Lol what the are you even talking about? Anyhoo I was just telling him to pay you no mind. These threads are just littered with snotty little comments from the likes of you and Jcool, so he shouldn't take it personally .
Its time to eat crow hoof
Tomsula was a good coach. He might not have been the ideal HC but what he did and the players was valuable. Players respected him and played hard for him just bc how awesome of a motivater he was... his passion and how much he believed in his players. releasing was dumb, after he was our HC he should've been retained and placed back in our line up as a coach.

glad to see you still have that rapier wit
Personally signing Steve Young as our QB coach makes way to much since. The guy is smart, he studys and he know what to look for in QB'S and knows what to teach.

He was just like Joe Bugel.

TERRIBLE Head Coach and a very good position coach.

Bugel was an excellent OLine coach and tanked as a HC.

Do you really think he'd leave an excellent TV job and much less $$$

Yeah! Speaking truth's! What good owner lets his GM do his job! How dare he! All the good owners meddle in there football operations. FACTS.

this. some 'zoners should finally decide what they expect from an owner.
How many times have we heard/seen this exact phrase, "Jed needs to hire a football guy to run the show and stay far, far away from making any football decisions!!!!!!"

A report comes out that says this is exactly what he's done and people say, "He should've known it was a terrible decision and gotten more involved!!!"

The thing I can't wrap my mind around is how Baalke, as a guy who's been in pro football for a long, long time and knew his future was tied to his HC hiring, how in the world did he believe Tomsula was the better choice??

Was his ego so big that he thought he could put together such a stellar team no one could lose with them? Was Gase another A-type personality that he knew he'd clash with and he didn't want to do another Harbaugh?? What was going through is crazy mind that made him look at Tomsula and say, "yup, that's the guy"?

Gase has no idea who influence the decision and by how much.
York at least signed off on the hire.
The Yorks and Marathe have hired Erickson, Nolan, Singletary, Tomsula and Kelly. Harbaugh was the only good hire they have made.
The Yorks and Marathe fired Harbaugh.
The Yorks and Marathe didn't fire Baalke with Harbaugh and when it was obvious that they should get rid Baalke with Tomsula they kept him.

The Yorks and Marathe are 100% respinsible for the decisions that have been made since 2013 and they are still making all of the decisions. They are going to independenty decide on a coachband a GM. I am hoping they get lucky.
Status quo

i guess you have gone too far to go back on your hate

Did I get something wrong here?
I will not hate on Shanahan/Wolf!

Was just referring to the Marathe portion of that on the exact day all this negative press comes out about him.

Yup I also agree with you. Think he just threw in Marathe there because he's joined at the hip to Jed. I doubt he has some relationship with that dude, but since he had one with Jed, Paraag was probably always in the room during a meeting. So he's extending a courtesy by association.

Totally. Football circles.

It's like a cycle...TK, Florio, etc. all jump on one topic that is exactly the same (and all released within minutes of each other) and then there is a counter.

The point? = gets clicks and generates discussion. These guys probably all work together.

With each tweet and story one must ask:
1. Who benefits most from this information/topic
2. Take in the timing of it,
3. How credible is the source and
4. Patterns

Did everyone actually LISTEN to the interview. CLEARLY (and rightfully so) Gase was being very careful with what he was divulging and how he said everything. You have to look at not only what Gase said, but what he didn't say. A lot of Maiocco's questions were pretty straight forward but he walked around the issues with a number of his answers. Plus the whole Jed connection part. I don't know. I'm thinking Baalke was the issue with Gase but there seems more than what's being said.

Very much agreed here.
examples? what is still unclear to you?

or he could be falling on the sword for management. That's part of the GM job description. And perhaps a reason why he may be getting an executive job again pretty soon.

So if there's any confusion anymore there shouldn't be. Gase has NOTHING to gain by praising Jed or Marathe. Nothing. It was Baalke. He's the cause of the fall of House Atredis!

Yes it sounds like Baalke is to blame for Tomsula but it's also pretty clear that Jed is to blame for sending Harbaugh away, which was the biggest idiot move in 9er history

All the years people on here defended baalke. I been right about him all along.
Well, if we don't get as many leaked info, we know it went out with Baalke, if we still get some leaked info, then I am thinking Paraag. Hope he sticks to signing players but defers to the new leaders if they really want to sign a certain player.
