Time for Jed to admit, he knows nothing about running the team, and step back into the shadows, and hire a real football focused front office.

When I coached youth football we had a saying: Coaches coach, players play, referees make the call and fans root, everybody needs to know their role and do their job. In prospects we need to add one more level, owners own, and thats all they do!

Just quietly fade away Jed, fire Trent, and hire a football guy to run the team, let him select a GM, let the two of them select a coach, and just sign checks and entertain celebrities in the owners box. We will call you if we need you.

Oh, fire everyone, I mean everyone, from the grounds crew and janitors, to the GM and team president Clean slate, don't leave anyone to talk about how things "used to be" because they are awful!

I'm actually glad that article came out jab at Jed is good...f**king do something about it. Sell the damn team to someone that actually wants to win. Golden state is a great example.

Hey! FML both my favorite teams are complete dumpster fires

The fact is the York family has no clue on how to run a successful team they only know how to run a successful business. The Yorks attitude seems to be If the team is 4-12 and makes them a huge profit they get a relaxed attitude of hey we tried to win BUT we still made a profit so who cares will try again next year. We don't need that kind of attitude we need a ownership who gets furious at a 4-12 and stops at nothing to fix it. That is not who we have running this team we have a family who doesn't know anything about building a superbowl team this ownership is only good at jacking up prices and booking a event every week at Levis to fatten there pockets. It's no wonder the niners have become as big a laughing stock as the Browns.

Honestly this is the issue with the majority of NFL teams and a reason the ratings are down. Think about all the teams in the NFL we have saw no consistency in the product they have put out on the field. We got lucky and had Harbaugh who instantly inherited a vet team and squeezed every last drop out of those guys. If we didn't get Harbaugh for those few years we would have never left the pits of the NFC West.
somebody just needs to frame the Yorks and they all go to prison. only way we will ever be good again.

Sadly it's hard to argue this. We are certainly in the conversation which is horrible. Fans will have to speak with their wallets - Empty seats is the only way to get Jed's wallets attention. If we suck this bad but they make a profit what does he care.

49er fans are speaking with their wallets - they are selling their tickets on StubHub and other places to fans of the opposing team. As more and more opposing fans show up, it will hopefully begin to work on Jed's ego. The Cowboys game was a great showcase for fan displeasure. Lots of Cowboy blue in the place. Historically this has been a great rivalry game to which no true fan would ever sell their ticket. Unfortunately, Jed's mishandling of the team resulted in a louder Dallas crowd than 49er crowd much of the time. That is what it will take to wake him up.

With the great TV coverage now, you actually get a better view of the game than being at the game. If the product is bad, why spend the time and money to have a second-rate view of the game?

The NFL is unique, it's the only business I know of that you can make giant profits regardless if your team wins or losses. Come to think of it you can probably make more if your team losses. Look at Jerry Jones, the outspoken ego of the NFL, how many times has he gone to the playoffs the last 20 years? He has the richest franchise, so winning doesn't seem that important. does it?

The Cowboys have $3million in cap space right now. Jones is at least spending money trying to win. That stadium is a great fan experience.
The Dorks will certainly do that to a team........

Jerry Jones also won 3 Super Bowls. Something Jed will never do. According to the know it all guys on the WZ if you win it is because of your owner. Not the coach. So apparently it was not Jimmy Johnson. It was Jerry Jones. Because you have to be consistent. After all guys on here give Jed credit that we reached a Super Bowl.....

Hey, who's looking forward to 49ers football tomorrow?
There's one reason for this, ownership.
And unfortunately, nothing's going to change

Back when Eddie D hired Joe Thomas to run the team, there was near fan mutiny. Thomas fired a successful and popular coach and brought in a nobody, made that stupid OJ Simpson trade...and got run out of town. However, in that situation, Eddie was willing to listen to Al Davis about bringing in better football people to run the team. The rest is history.

If Jed is really talking to Uncle Eddie as he claims he is, perhaps Eddie will tell him to do the same. Let's hope so.

Eddie not even mentioning Jed in his 30 min HOF speech tells me they probably aren't talking much...
