"My family owned this team before I was born," York said, via Al Saracevic of SFGate.com. "They'll own the team after I'm gone."

Cleveland Browns haven't won a playoff game since 1994, won 10+ games twice since 1990 & are 0-6 this season.... And 49ers are the worst team in professional sports??? Have to call BS on that.

Fan base[edit]
A 2006 study conducted by Bizjournal determined that Browns fans are the most loyal fans in the NFL. The study, while not scientific, was largely based on fan loyalty during winning and losing seasons, attendance at games, and challenges confronting fans (such as inclement weather or long-term poor performance of their team).[180] The study noted that Browns fans filled 99.8% of the seats at Cleveland Browns Stadium during the last seven seasons, despite a combined record of 36-76 over that span.[181]

The Browns are one of those all time historic teams.

Well ... they do this every year. This year we are last. Why? A very expensive experience for fans and a horrible product. Cleveland also has a horrible product but much less expensive for fans. Add to that our inept ownership and it's pretty clear we are, right now, worse than the Browns.

Not counting the Harbaugh years (2011-2014) the 49ers are 52-98 since York fired Mooch with no playoff appearances. The Browns are 46-104 in that time with one playoff appearance. Sad.

No where close to being worst.
It's because of the high expectation level of the fans. The 49ers had the taste of victory for 5 seasons, and wanted the return to "Camelot." They got close, but with some disappointment (Hearst breaking his ankle, BS calls in the NFCC game, and the non-calls in the Super Bowl). Then they get rid of the coach that gets them there. Brilliant . Now, no one is even expecting on making the playoffs for quite some time.

Yes we are. A joke of a franchise with a clueless ownership.

Thanks Jed!
Sadly it's hard to argue this. We are certainly in the conversation which is horrible. Fans will have to speak with their wallets - Empty seats is the only way to get Jed's wallets attention. If we suck this bad but they make a profit what does he care.

He will just schedule more Taylor Swift concerts. It's too much work to try to run a successful football organization, so he will just focus on making a profit using other easy avenues.
Who's got it better than us?

At the end of the day we have a lot of control over the situation to an extent. I know it's hard not to watch but just give the minimum amount of money possible ton watch games.

2 people and myself had 6 season tickets since Levi's opened and couldn't afford to just keep throwing money away and tried to work with the 49ers to drop to just 3 tickets and at the end of the day they did nothing to help so we just dropped them.

I'm so glad I lost those tickets and I really have no desire to go to the stadium. I'm trying to do my part

Credit to you for doing that. It's a brutal experience going to a 49er game, and it's not just the game on the field.

1.3 billion for that? The novelty of newness has worn off, and now there's the big, white elephant.

I believe it's more of a current snapshot of organizations. In that, today, with the depth and quickness of decline, we are at least in the conversation of most horrible.
