There were a couple instances that Gabbert should have kept it.

In fact, our run game and secondary played far worse than Gabbert.

Our Dline was worse than Gabbert. They gave up 100 to a RB named Fozzy and provided ZERO pressure.

Yeah I honestly was expecting some pressure on Cam

X3 with New England this week

Nice. I'm a noob so a lot of my picks are total guesswork but I've managed to watch some condensed replays from week one so hopefully I'll start to get a feel.

God damn we suck and the blame falls on everyone. Offense sucked. Can't run the ball. Fumbles. Hyde 3 yard a carry (Gore come back!), inaccurate QB, TE that can't catch, BAD play calling! Defense can't stop the run, gave up +500 yards of total offense, long ass drives by the opponent, and hardly any QB pressure.

Overall it was a horrible game all around. Talent isn't there and coaching isn't there. This team is going to suffer big time against good team. We aren't going to be in top spots for a long time until we can address these issues. Damn

Pretty much all of this.
Nothing of that. This is a complete overreaction.

Yes, we were routed today. But every reasonable fan expected a hard game anyway.
No talent? sorry, not true. Even if one can't say it based on today's game but we got plenty of talent on the D. And we got a lot of talent in the o-line who pass-blocked very good today as well, imho. run-blocking, however, needs an improvement.

The overall problem with the offense is that it's too inconsistent, much like the play of the 3 QB's on the roster.

You can't be successful in the NFL and be inconsistent.
most important point imho:
new scheme which is not to be expected to gel immediately. On top of that, the talent is quite limited. Given that, the offense performed very good against the Rams and Panthers, respectively. 27.5 points on avg is not bad by any means.

2.5 yards per carry isnt good. Running on just about every first down is not good. Esp when they average 2.5 yardnt When we passed on first down we did much better.

The Pantbers were able to pin their ears back in obvious long yardage passing situations.

Coming into this game I almost begged the gods to make Chip pass on first down more. He did the same in the third quarter vs the Rams and it stalled our offense.

This is the stuff Eagles fans pointed out early last year. It screws the whole offense up. Not many QB's will do well passing all day in obvious long yardage passing situations. Esp vs good defenses that can pressure QB's.

Gabbert also needs to be more accurate but our run first mentality, when only getting 2.5 yards per carry, doesnt put Gabbert in a good position. Nor does our secondary getting burned deep all day.

Where does that put Cleveland...46th?

They don't have a number for that s**t show

I'd say mid 20s

Browns. Bears. Rams. Fins. Bills. Ravens? Jets? Titans. All teams we are either better than or on par with

I agree. I'm a fan of passing on first down. Generally speaking, it's when you see more vanilla defenses and can quickly create favorable down and distance on 2nd down and 3rd downs. It won't fix our problems because Gabbert is not a reliably accurate QB, but I like it better than running into a brick wall and facing so many 2nd/3rd and longs.

Time for Tartt. Or time for Ward to SS and Robinson to start outside.
The good news is the Hawks look terrible. Rawls hurt too.

He needs to do better but we were still in that game with his 243 yards passing until that Vance drop.

We had 65 yards rushing at 2.5 yards per attempt.

Chip Kelly's offense is established off the run. His run is not established off passing.

Putting us in obvious long yardage passing situations all day killed us. Yes, so did some inaccurate passes but Gabbert didnt play as bad as the stats show.

lol how do you figure that?

Hawks typically start slow, so I guess it's better we play @CLink early in the year and get it over with. Would still be surprised to get a win up there, but they do look vulnerable.

Unreal. LMAO. The guy played horrendous, garbage. Sub 40% comp percentage. He single handily rendered our WRs useless. Seimian had a better game against the same Defense. Dude was trash last week too but got lucky that he was playing against Case Keenum.

Dude will be benched by week 5 and some posters will probably disappear sadly. Please guys don't go when that happens. We are all Niner fans.
