Would you rather endure a year of suck, for potential long term success?

I'm looking at the schedule...I see 4 -12

If it's the Chicago Cubs style....yes
If it's the Tampa Bay Rays style....no


But i have a feeling that this team's future is bleak.

if you can win that many games..it's not sucking/talent. it's coaching

Garrett alone would soothe any butthurt from a bad season. He looks like an absolute monster of a pass rusher. Plug him in opposite Lynch, with Armstead and Buckner in DE, that is a pretty nice looking four man pass rush.

You mean a *potential* franchise QB. The Rams thought they got one too in Goff...

i do not think we are going to suck as bad as some feel... I really have to hand it to chip and the players for handling the anthem thing they way they have. we fans THINK or ASSUMED or were AFRAID.. it would be this huge distraction and issue but by all accounts it is not. chip said he basically turned it over to the vets and there you go. it has also been nice that the front office. jed trent have not said anything. i think we as fans are or were all upset cuz we were not hearing any football things and it was all about ck and the anthem.... but as we are finding out there was plenty of focus on football going on behind the scenes and I think this team will surprise many.. I wanted ck off the team yesterday cuz i felt his qb play was awful but he proved he deserves a spot on the roster last night and we will just see where that goes. while it may be unpopular with some... i am not predicting doom and gloom for our team

As opposed to mediocrity or worse for 6 years? Yeah, assuming the FO makes shrewd choices with the picks I'll take a year or two of "suckage" in order to become a consistently great team. We need a franchise QB, a #1 WR, and a stud pass rusher. Once we have those things (and assuming we have good coaching) everything else (complimentary players) will fall into place.

you never lose games on purpose in order to draft higher..... i will always said that is a dumb thing to want in my opinion. you play to win.. you do not play cuz you hope you lose so you hope you can draft higher.. there is no win around here.... when we were winning. people were fretting we would not get good players cuz we drafted late in the draft. jesus people

This guy and Watson will be the first two picks of the draft. If you want one of them, you're either going to have to have one of the most embarrassing seasons in franchise history (four wins might be too many), or trade a massive haul of picks. I don't know if either one is worth it. Maybe if we're meh and get a #5-8 pick so it doesn't cost AS much to trade that far up, then maybe. Otherwise I don't think it's happening.

Remember, in 2012, just to get from 6 overall to 2 overall and draft RG3, Washington had to give St. Louis their 2013 and 2014 1st-round picks as well as a 2012 2nd-round pick that very same year. Do we really want to go there?
