Will there be a right tackle free agent available next year - they don't have to be elite, just a really solid player - like the Jonathan Goodwin FA signing in 2011?
Ryan Schraeder from the Falcons is someone that comes to mind as he's pretty talented and would also be coming from a zone blocking scheme I believe. Although his age (30) might be something to consider given the rebuild period the Niners are currently in.
Sounds good - ranked 5th amongst 77 grades PFF gave to tackles (even though I take PFF grades with a grain of salt). I'm okay with him being 30-31 years old if they can sign him for two to three years in the $4 - $5 million range (?). And in the meantime keep drafting offensive (right) tackles) to develop behind him. If he plays like he has in the past, then at worst he might be a slightly expensive very good backup to some young stud draftee (and Staley).
Of course, if someone like Brown comes on and looks like a top half-to-third tackle, then that makes the tackle position less of a priority.
