So maybe you can read it or he will let you know where in the CBA it says how teams are to do their accounting they way you assume it says.

I've been reading it and it is not mentioned in regards to unused cap space.

So there's nothing in the CBA stating what teams can or can't do with unused cap money?

From what I understand whatever they don't use gets rolled over to the next yr not put in the pockets of the owners not to be used again.

AB has already explained what he knows at the beginning of this thread.

He said the niners can pocket the unspent portion of the cap from this year. I posted it awhile back.

I believe AB more than Maiocco. AB has a consistent track record and says what he believes to be true, and doesn't depend on sensationalism for his living. I find it humorous that the only time someone quotes a reporter us when that quote supports their opinion. If Maiocco wrote a positive post about the team, owners or players we wouldn't be hearing his name.

Are we seriously still having this discussion like a month later.

Like I said, I cover the 49ers salary cap, Maiocco covers 49ers news, not the salary cap, he is also media, he doesn't have access to player salaries, neither do I, that's why I rely on sources inside the NFL who know the players contracts and have deeper access to the NFLPA Database.

And like I said, cap room is just that cap room, not cash, thus it disappears if not used, but they won't not roll it over.

I also kind of find it amusing that after 15 years on the webzone I'm now being doubted once again like I was in the beginning, I have a great track record of being right, and knowing the NFL rules.

Not trying to discredit anyone, but it is kind of annoying also that I'm being doubted, but what can I do, I've tried my best, if some don't want to believe than thats ok, cause I refuse to reveal my source, and jeapordize my relationship with said source, than appease the few who doubt me. Sorry but I won't do that.
