If there is one thing that has NFL teams nervous about Blaine Gabbert, it's the offensive scheme he played in while at Missouri. Gabbert spent the majority of his college career in the shotgun with multiple wide receivers lined up on both sides of him. He almost played in a system that was comparable to what Mike Leach ran at Texas Tech where they would spread you out with that same sort of shotgun look.

This was from a pre-draft right up of Gabbert. Doesn't sound much different from what Chip wants to do in his offense with 5 out on routes. Gabbert doesn't have any major problem transitioning into a pocket passer. Most of the NFL offense doing less of that anyways. I think Gabbbert is a perfect fit for ALL of what Chip likes to do in his offense in regard to passing and running with his qb. Gabbert with a 4.62 speed is plenty.

Im sorry but that made me lol.

why is that funny?

Becauase nobody is nervous about blaine f**king gabbert lol.

...at #1 in the draft. At one point he was considered to be at #1 pick with Cam Newton, which is ridiculous, but it did occurred.

Yeah it was pointing out a flaw to his game. He was in shotgun so much that he doesn't know how to play from under center. That's what the write up is saying.

I know but the post is suggesting gabbert is now in a system that could make other teams nervous.

Not a chance.

You prob should have put that it was from before the draft the year he was taken at the top. No one is going to read past the first sentence if it's that stupid. Who cares about what coaches thought of him years ago. We can clearly see how much he sucks now.

Could only happened to the Raiders. The stars aligned for them

I don't think Russell would have gone that high had he not torched Notre Dame. After that, he became ridiculously overhyped.
