In all fairness I read your entire post. I wasn't one that had a problem with it. I was just trying to explain why some might.

My point still stands. Don't care what they thought about Blaine years ago. He sucks. In any offense. Can't even complete 50% of his passes in practice.

My post was just a piggy back on what was discussed regarding Kaep in Kelly's offense mainly running the read option/zone read part of it. Gabbert with his experience in the mostly shotgun offense in college and his time learning to be a pocket passer in the NFL, couple with his 4.62 speed, also fits what all Chip Kelly wants to do in his offense.

Kelly has always indicated he liked both Kaep and Gabbert as his 2 starters. Though he may not say it so explicitly, for want of competition out of them.

Gonna guess he's 7/19 74 yards 0 td 1 int

Driskel plays the 2nd and 3rd going 10/20 for 105 yards 1 td 1 int

Ponder plays the 4th 2/8 32 yards 0 td 2 int

Does Gab at least orchestrate a TD drive? lol

No we kick a FG after a decent Hyde run and Blaine gets sacked.

Oh you thought Blaine is going to have 7 comp in one drive? lol

nah first drive 5 comp then sack and FG

Denver drives for a FG

next drive 2 comp then INT Denver gets a FG

6-3 Denver after 1Q

You're making this more complicated than it needs to be made. Kap was healthy at the start of camp but due to the inactivity that proceeded camp, he got arm fatigue after throwing for a few days. He has been shut down for a small amount of time to make sure that his arm is right. He has started to throw the ball and will be back to practicing next week. No need to add drama to a pretty mundane arm condition.

Occam's Razor, folks. Often times the correct explanation is the simplest one.

I hadn't done squats in almost a year and decided to do three sets of them on Tuesday. Yesterday I was sore and today I'm walking with an obvious limp because my quads and ass are killing me. I won't be able to do squats again until next week.

That's the way the human body works, especially after an injury where the muscles surrounding the healing area have atrophied due to non-use.

Due to his surgeries, Kap couldn't do any type of working out over the summer like he used to do. On top of that he had three surgeries, two in the upper body and one on the lower body. So he couldn't do anything. When you go from doing nothing to doing something, you have a big hill to climb with a lot of sore and pulled muscles along the way.

This is the worst part of football season. We have to deal with all the men spreading rumors and gossip like a bunch of b***hes on The View. You can blame the 24 hour sports networks for that. Eventually people run out of substantive s**t to talk about and so it devolves into this petty s**t where common sense gets thrown out the window and in enters sensationalism.

Great post. The simplest answer is this was never a real QB competition. It was Blaine's job all along. Kaepernick had way too much to overcome here.

This has been my opinion on the matter as well. The dead arm just made explaining it easier.
