If I heard that from Ian Rappoport or Adam Schefter, then I'd pay some attention to it...Baldinger's not exactly an insider. Consider the source before you give his "story" any credence.

For sure. I think the Niners and Kelly have just become this offseason's easy targets for shoddy reporting.

Yup, sure thing! But please remind us of all the tweets/articles/reporting from sources/etc. regarding this FO that ended up being false, compared to the ones turning out to be true?

When has the reporting been false? I can think of 6 reports off the top of my head that ended up being true.

  1. Harbaugh trade rumours to CLE in offseason
  2. FO laughing about Harbaugh being easily replaceable and irrelevant to this team's success
  3. Harbaugh getting his walking papers after that Seahawks loss in 2014
  4. Tomsula the main front runner for the choice of HC
  5. Kap and Aldon girlfriend drama
  6. Kap/players locker room fighting
  7. Players and coaches not wanting to come here.

And there's more I've forgotten over the years.

The false reports are usually guesses, like where Kap will be traded to, what HC we select or bla bla bla.

But this is not of a "guess the next move" type of nature and more of a "fly on the wall" type of report, and so we don't have much reason to automatically believe it to be false.
So what you're saying is these two don't have good chemical?
They should throw hands

Yeah hindsight is 20/20. Among those 6 there were 100+ plus other guesses as to what was going on with those issues. I agree that there could be merit to it and you're probably right that we can't just assume it's false. My opinion is just that because of what happened with Harbaugh, and the hiring of Kelly, people are looking for anything they can to blow out of proportion with the niners. I think it's a little presumptuous to think that before Kelly has even coached his first game there's some sort of catstrophic problem with him and Baalke. You'd think that a lot of the major issues would have been ironed out during the hiring process. Then again given the events of last year I suppose nothing would surprise me at this point!

I am with you on this one. I mean would it even be a surprise knowing what we know about Baalke and the organization?

What the 9ers need is to clean house completely and start from a clean slate.
I have several theories about this report.

I legitimately this it's true report..check out chip's history with his offense and previous Qb's. Oh and by the way 100% that Kapernick is the reason why there are issues.

Chip offense is based on a QB that works fast on short accurate throws, likes to run many WR screens and fast pace momentum offense. Chip doesn't want KAP...1. Kap absouletly can't throw short accurate pass while running a no huddle & he's not the best signal caller. Chip wants him out.

Chip worked with nick foles, Sam Bradford and mark Sanchez. Mediocre QB at best, Chip either likes to build a balance team with QB that doesn't need to do much like Trent dilfer type OR Chip is flat out racist (that's a theory within itself) so with that said boys and girls...Chip and Trent is bumping head base off of the QB situation.

If Chip has strong opinions about the roster and the direction they should go in the draft I think it's his *responsibility* to voice those opinions to Trent. He might even do that in a strong way. Ultimately Trent will do what he thinks is right with that information.

The same thing goes with the Kaepernick situation.

Someone could see that and interpret it as "problems." And a media person might want to spin it that way to get a story. It doesn't mean that it is a problem. Time will tell.

It goes on to assume that the issue involves the handling of Kaep.

Anyone think this is legit? If so, who should be the first to go if our coach and gm fail to get along again?

No it's not legit.
