Trade Kap to Broncos for Ryan Clady. Straight across. Broncos need a QB. We need an OL to put in front of Gabbert and/or a rookie.

No. We better keep kap. I think, we give him a chance time. Kap must understand too seriously. We can cut by Brooks then safe our cap moneys

MM said on NFL radio yesterday that Alex Smith hated SF and wanted out, wanted a fresh start. Jim talked him into staying. Said I can give you a fresh start if you stay right here.
Said Chip is prob trying to do the same thing with Kap now.
lol our FO sucks
All this drama with all these players and coaches that come and go yet the 2 ass hats at the top sill remain. Uh.

There is no deadline, all hype. We are paying the guy, so whats the phony deadline? Once he went out injured, and wasn't able to pass a physical, it didn't matter what else we did, we had to pay him. Today is a formality. Nothing changes with our team at 1:00 PM PDT.
And nothing changes with his status. Lots of news rumors out there predicting we trade him before the draft, or even on draft day. Maybe. If we do, the Broncos don't seem to want to pony up the contract money we are paying him anyway, if any of these rumors are to be believed that is. So it comes down to, his worth to us, vs. what we value the draft pick to be, and how much of the difference in salary we have to pay if we trade him. If we trade him to the Broncos for instance, is it worth how ever many millions to keep him, vs. how much we value the draft pick in cash. Lets say they offer him $7M. We would be on the hook for the rest, so we are basically buying a draft pick for cash. That is presuming the team doesn't want him. At this point, I may be starting to lean towards that idea. If we are heading for a QB early, it would absolutely make sense to grab more draft picks, and start trying to maneuver in the 2nd through 3rd rounds. Maybe even move up to a lower round 1 with some bundled picks so we have two first round picks...I think I will go out and help the guys I have working on the back 40... Too many options to think about. Cutting brush and splitting wood is easier.

Once the Niners trade Kaep anytime up until the trading dead line (November), the team that gets him will be responsible for the rest of his contract, including whatever is left of his salary in 2016.
If the Broncos don't renegotiate his contract, they will be stuck with paying Kaep from the date that they traded for him, of that 12mil guaranteed spread throughout the year in weekly salary.

Kap will be traded during the 1st or 2nd day of the draft. Book it.
