Head Coach candidate Chip Kelly

My gut instinct is that since I want Chip as HC, we will for sure hire Shanny.... BUT it seems that most of NT wants Shanny. Does that mean we get Chip?! (I'm working on the assumption that they FO will always make the choice the fans hate)

On top of that i just dont think he is that good of a coach. Granted my opinion is not bible but its just my opinion. My other big concern is that he had control over his roster in philly and floundered. How will he do with a roster that he doesnt/wont have control over.

This. I'm tired of this Shanahan talk when Chip Kelly is the one with the real future.

People pretty much throw him in the garbage bag after one bad season when in reality he had two 10-6 seasons and dominated at Oregon.

Interesting I think the zone is split 50/50. I'm going for Chip based on the fact he's innovative - let Baalke/Gamble make personnel decisions and Chip simply coach.

I dont agree that Murray and Hyde are similar. Only in that they run physically. I am not a Murray expert but he seems to run much better with the QB under center. Hyde is the exact opposite.

Explain how O-line talent is better suited to Shanny's system, please.

Kelly destroying the locker room is a different discussion.

Won 20 games in two years at philly? Must not be that bad of a coach.

I think you answered your own question...he didn't have total control and just coached in his first two years and won 20 games once he took over and blew up the roster it went south.

Just let him coach...let Baalke have the personnel coach, he's gonna have it either way.

Everyone is afraid that Chip is going to come here and screw everything up but let's be real, him getting fired was a wake up call for him . So that tells you that he is going to learn from his mistakes and is not going to put himself in that situation again. Put his bad year aside and watch this team go back to the playoff next year.
