I was listening to Greg Cosell s**t all over Kaepernick on the Colin Cowherd show. This is what he had to say about Chip Kelly:

"The 49ers have a good personnel department, he's familiar with Tom Gamble, the 49ers have the draft picks and cap space, but any team that hires Chip, you have to draft defense. His fast-paced, tempo, tempo, tempo offense, means your defense is going to play a lot of snaps. [Insert stat about Eagles' defensive snaps] It is important to have depth."

That was also in college where scheme doesn't trump athletic ability.

In the NFL, scheme can and does trump athletic ability.

Hyde is a better fit with Shanahan. Period.

What does that matter when Hyde will be injured a month into the season?? Niners will draft another rb most likely or it's never to early to start the Suck 4 Fournette watch!!!!

You say that like you've demonstrated something with your comment. You haven't.

Hyde is great for Kelly and Shanny's system.

Hyde fits either.

He really is a good fit for both as Hyde showed he can run outside zone very well, too. If we are talking about what he is accustomed to, it's inside zone - Chip;s primary scheme. Shanny is mainly outside zone - think Terrell Davis dominating under Alex Gibbs.

Hyde is a different runner than McCoy. He is similar to Murray in their styles, though Murray is more of a glider. When it comes to Kelly's offense that is.

Hyde is more of a Terrell Davis/Alfred Morris type for Shanahan. Especially with the talent on the oline (minus Devey and Pears of course) being much more suited for Shanahan than CK.

Above all else...Kelly will destroy that locker room.

Why is everyone so gung ho to sign up for that????

OL and defense defense defense
I imagine Carlos Hyde being very much like Jonathan Stewart was in his last college year (Kelly's first as HC at Oregon). He absolutely dominated in that system and was a 1st round pick as a result.
Please NO
I think Kelly's only way back to the NFL is if he proves his offense works as an OC.

Wasn't Chips desire for more personnel control the reason Gamble was shown the door

Lurie: I fired Chip Kelly

Howie: Cool cool. Totally for that

Lurie: So what's the plan?

Howie: Huh?

Lurie: The plan

Howie: Talk slower

Boom! Perfect comparison

As long as he doesn't have personnel control I'm fine with it

again you have no idea what you are atalking about. lets just trade out left tackle and free safety for a running back who we know doesnt fit kelly's scheme. He was terrible in a zone scheme, he is a better fit in a gap scheme. Why the f**k would we want lamichael? dude is garbage in the nfl.
