My pre-camp prediction is that Bosa, Ebukam, Turay, Drake, Hyder, are in.

I disagree with Omenihu being on the bubble for a roster spot. I feel like he's solidly on the roster.

Agreed. They're moving him outside-inside too like they did with Key too.

I agree too. He seems like the Key replacement. And we're thinner on the interior anyway.
you realize with Turay and Omenihu, we would have the ability to rush 4 DEs at once. Just put two of them at OLB and watch the fun. Could only be used infrequently but just try and visualize what the QB would see at snap of the ball, say on 3rd and 8.

Add Armstead, Bosa, and Ebukam and you could conceivably have 5 DEs on the field at once.
My money is on Jordan Willis not making the squad despite his contributions on special teams.

If Omenihu has DT flexibility that definitely adds value. If not, then it's crowded at DE and it could be a numbers game. Hopefully it's a hard decision for the staff on who makes the 53.

I don't know. They have very different bodies though. Turay seems built for speed whereas Omenihu has some bulk to him.

Kemoko is a much more talented and skilled pass rusher than Omenihu. That's not to knock Omenihu, but Kemoko has natural pass-rush ability and skill to go with it. The dude can shorten the path to the QB with bend and speed. He's also better with his hands than Omenihu. Turay has had this nasty cross-chop going back to Rutgers and likely would've been a day-1 pick if he wasn't so riddled with injuries.

One thing I've learned (albeit really slowly) from AB…when the gaggle at a slot gets crowded, check out the guys with the most GTD $$$…almost always that seems to be the way we select. There may have been an occasional outlier, but usually, money spent is generally what dictates who stays …or not….courtesy, AB.

It is going to be very tough for Willis to make the team with all the talent we have at DE. Some team will snag him up quickly off waivers though

I was thinking we could move Omenihu to DT and then last week I read he was asked to put on more weight this off-season and is basically going to be playing more DT than DE though on running downs he could still see action as a (BIG) DE.

I think both guys (Turay and Omenihu) will make the team. If Turay can stay healthy, he will have an impact on this team! Koucerek will get all the talent of Turay who is a very talented player who has shown signs of being worth the second round pick the colts used on him, but he just hasn't been able to stay he healthy long enough. Again, if he can stay healthy, I think he makes an impact here and I can see 6-8 sacks out of him very easily.
I hope they can trade an edge player for an IOL because brendal and brunskill won't cut it.
