The equation is simple fire tomsula and the whole staff.. get a competent offensive minded head coach that has experience and can hire a staff that can get the best out of our players. Solid draft + free agency we should be a competitive team next year no doubt.. main thing is get this POS coaching staff out of here !

your right. This coaching staff has really been the downfall. They seem super unprepared and unmotivated.

Some reports are coming out that Tomsula is too nice and lenient with the players. I believe it.

The only reason i would hope for losses is to see this coaching staff canned ASAP

After the off season we had, iirc most people were predicting between 4 and 7 wins for the season, with most of those coming in the later half of the season. Adding in Kap's implosion, Hyde's injury, VD getting traded (although personally I wasn't too distraught by that one), etc.. It seems to me we're right about where we should expect to be right now.

I know a higher pick is a good thing, but I just can't bring myself to not hope for a win every Sunday.

I know it doesn't feel right not rooting for your team to win, but just imagine it's draft day and instead of picking 14th or 15th, we're picking in the top 5. That makes it a little easier, I think.
even if we draft top 5 baalke will still take someone who would probably be available between rounds 2 and 3

Look at all the teams that have been winning, those teams were able to stay good because their strongest link was their QB. There are teams that show up but then fall back down because the whole team can't stay good. You need that Cog of a great QB to stay among top for a good amount of time.

if you don't have that QB then you ride the roller coaster like we are experiencing right now as well as other teams

You need the QB and a good passing offensive scheme with strong pass game coaching.

We gonna lose the rest.
My biggest concern isn't pick 4 or 14. It is who is picking the damn player. Our 4 year run was mostly thanks to McLaughlin's picks the previous years peaking with much better coaching. Baalke hasnt really done much to be honest. Oh and there this little fact that Jed still runs the team.....

this better be the draft Baalke stays clear of injured prospects in the mid rounds, hoping they pan out down the road, because they supposedly have 1st round potential, ..we cant afford to be wasting anymore draft picks this way, the Lattimore pick was a complete waste of a draft pick
hopefully pretty good. just LOSE baby

Patriots, weren't anything until Brady, Bilecheck sucked before he went to the PAts

same thing with Mcarthy

Steve Young sucked before the 9ers. Warner was bagging groceries before the Rams. Atlanta had no interest in keeping Brett Favre.

Qbs aren't just great by accident. Neither are coaches. It's a symbiotic relationship where the right fit makes all the difference.

QBs make the coach, and good QBs is a scarce commodity
Gabbert will now show that he can carve up sub-par defenses.
Pretty good considering we score 13 points a game
