What are the chances we lose out the rest of the season?

Sun, Dec 6 @ Bears 10:00 am - They can beat us at their home IMO. Possible Loss. Sun, Dec 13 @ Browns 10:00 am - We are in danger of winning this game. Browns are just awful. Even the 49ers can beat them. Sun, Dec 20 Bengals 5:30 pm - Loss. Sun, Dec 27 @ Lions 10:00 am - They can beat us in their home. Possible Loss. Sun, Jan 3 Rams 1:25 pm - Loss. But some danger of winning this game. I could see 1 more win vs. the Browns and maybe @ Lions or the Rams game. But I doubt we win both. Worst case is we win 2 more games. Best case is we find a way to lose out vs all and even the Browns game. I think likely we win 1 more game at least and maybe 2 with one of the Lions or Rams games at the end. 3 - 13 you have to figure is guaranteed top 5 pick. Maybe top 3. 4 - 12 you have to figure some other teams may win a game more or so between now and the end of the year. But it probably bumps us down to say #7 - #12 or so pick by the end of the year. 2 more wins and 5 - 11 leaves us a much worse pick IMO. It could be beyond #10. Maybe #12 - #15. Some of those teams at 4 wins will probably win some games too. Not everybody will lose out. I think the Chargers can win some more games for sure. They massively under achieved this year and aren't as bad as their record. I'm not sure about the Cowboys. Their QB is always hurt. Big dropoff to the #2 QB. I'm not sure about all the other teams. It's hard to predict what the bottom 15 teams or so could do an the last few weeks. Even this far along slots could change a lot. Teams could pick a lot higher or lower than you think based on this point. Some could win out and some could lose out and where we are now could change quite a lot. Personally I see no advantage at all to winning now for this team. It's clearly a season lost. Wins result in Keeping Tomsula, Baalke, and getting a lower draft pick.... Losses result in maybe getting rid of Tomsula or Baalke (probably not both). Plus getting a much higher draft pick.

We got to hope Gabbert has a bad game against the Browns. I agree, they're terrible. I'm also worried about the Rams game. If Foles plays they may win, but it could go either way.

The Browns game is certainly the most dangerous. It's a probable win. I think anybody can beat them . The Rams are pretty darn bad. But I really think they can beat us too. As we are so bad this year. Some of the other road games I think those teams can win. Like the Bears and Lions at home for example. They can beat us.

After the off season we had, iirc most people were predicting between 4 and 7 wins for the season, with most of those coming in the later half of the season. Adding in Kap's implosion, Hyde's injury, VD getting traded (although personally I wasn't too distraught by that one), etc.. It seems to me we're right about where we should expect to be right now.

I know a higher pick is a good thing, but I just can't bring myself to not hope for a win every Sunday.

I know it doesn't feel right not rooting for your team to win, but just imagine it's draft day and instead of picking 14th or 15th, we're picking in the top 5. That makes it a little easier, I think.

Yes it does. This season is total garbage and lost anyway. A better draft pick is what we need. We can't salvage anything at all for this team this season. Wins will just get us Tomsula again for another year. Does anybody really want that?.....

I'm with you, San Diego. I'm just trying to console frenz. Sounds like he's having a tough time with it.

I'm with you San Diego, I'm just trying to console frenz. Sounds like he's having a tough time with it.

Sometimes you just got to accept where you really are at. This season is a TOTAL loss. No ifs, ands or buts.

I tbink we'll win 2 more. Browns and Rams.

The Rams win will get the FO all hot and bothered and convince them Tomsula is a good coach. Then he'll be back and we do this all again next year. It'll be awesome.

The Browns just lost to a very bad injury riddled Baltimore team at home. Rams have fully imploded also. Tomsula is going nowhere even if the 49ers finish 3-13. No one with a brain expected him to succeed, so he hasn't disappointed.

Bears, we suck on the road and Bears got a good passing defense, possible loss

Browns, possible win, even we can win on the road against these guys

Bengals, by then they might have a playoff spot and division clinched but a bye? If they still got something to play for, we lose

Lions, they won three straight including beating Green Bay, right now they don't look like the Lions that started the season, we can still lose that one

Rams, lost four straight and one of the worst teams to figure out, you'd think with the players they have they'd be at better, its also the last game of the season and more then likely neither team will have anything to play for, its all about who care the least

He did have some great seasons with the titans, but the last few seasons there and then the whole time with the Rams, I have no idea how this guy still keeps a head coaching job. Players obviously don't play hard for him
