This is why we need special video review allowed for some of these cases. We cannot have officials missing critical calls to blow games. It's the whole reason they started review in the first place to remedy other officiating blunders -- why not allow review of personal foul calls or something?

Not sure that did any good. Actually i got the NFL Office number from the 49ers PR Dude. I called the 49ers first and asked for there Public Relations guy.. He answered the phone i asked him if the 49ers where going to send in the Ahmad Brooks play to the NFL For review he answered : "I cant comment on that" i said Ok then can i get the Nfl commishis number. Not sure that it did any good either

He didn't know the challenge rule the refs botched either.

Refs are dumb and we don't even have a coach who can challenge them cause he's even dumber.

Not true. It frequently not called when the tackler is aiming at the chest and the player ducked into it. Dial aimed at his chest but Palmer ducked down at the last second causing the glancing blow to the chin

The problem is not the refs, it's the NFL forever tinkering with its rules. I can sort of understand their fear of being sued for billions over the concussion thing, but the rules in general are a mess. In fact, I consider the pernicious influence of fantasy football to be as guilty of the ruining of the NFL as a proper sporting spectacle. It was already bad enough with most viewers these days doing stupid calculations over their fantasy points instead of actually watching the sport, but it's obviously influencing the game. Every rule change is slanted towards more points and more unpredictable scores, i.e. more volatility for people to gamble on. Do you think that the moving of the PAT backwards was made to make the game more exciting? I'm no prude when it comes to adults gambling, although I personally don't get any enjoyment out of it. But it's destroying the game, and over that I absolutely detest fantasy football, point spreads and the rest.

Anyway, nobody knows any more what is a legal tackle, a completed pass, or interference (either way). Not even reviewing the play (and don't get me started on that - there are too many reviewable plays these days) helps, as refs hardly know what the rule says. So the result is total confusion, to the point of refs not being able to count the downs properly.

Let's face it here, it helped us in the long run.

Such BS. I am fed the up with these horrible fourth quarter calls going against us. This goes back to the Brees penalty. How does it KEEP happening?

This is the same crew that got folks suspended, wasn't it?
