harbs is such a good coach he even won despite having the Yorks as owners. something hadn't been done before and may not be done again.

So that would be 2013, the same season that even though the league had "figured him out" Harbaugh still managed to lead the 49ers to their third consecutive NFCCG.

Agreed and Tomsula wasn't portrayed as this offensive minded or QB Guru coach. He was just a Dline coach, period. Harbs was certainly no QB guru and his offense . He was still a very good coach though

actually what youre saying may be due to the result that the offensive coaching had to dial balck the playbook because of kaepernick inability to pick things up and not to mention he couldnt go through his reads

Do Niners have chance to be a playoff contender? Math says they can but if you analyse how Niners play for the rest of their games then chances are very low. Offensive line had a good day vs Falcons but it will depend how can they perform againt Michael Bennett on week 11 at Seattle's turf. Offensive line was rolled over by Seattle's front seven specially by Bennett who had his best performance of the season playing againt Martin,Devey and Pears. While we could consider the return of Kilgore after bye week and rising of Tiller can give Gabbert a chance to play the ball seems as a tough task when you only have Torrey and possibly Anquan as your best players on the field. Hyde looks like his return could be at mid December at very least but without a reliable group of RB it would be a miracle moving the chains with a balanced offense. Seattle just need to stop run to make Gabbert put the team on his shoulders to crush him later with personal coverage on receivers while pass rushing him the whole game. Niners D would be playing most the gameclock while trying to slow down Wilson and Beast Mode. While Seattle OL is just same or worse than SF's Wilson knows how to make adjustments on the line and exploit defenses weakness plus they have Lockett who's one of the best on punt returns and Pinion has been inconsistent on his punting.

Next game can be just like past one when they face Cardinals on Levi's. Bruce Arians offense has improved on his running game with Johnson brothers on the backfield making Palmer to stretch the field with Fitz, Floyd and Brown with deep passes. Defense is a top level with great front seven and ballhawking dbacks so it would be tough try to run or pass.

Then Niners have to go play away from SF on 2 consecutive road games at Bears and at Browns. While they don't have a winning record on their turf, they had close games with elite teams such as Packers, Raiders, Vikes and Broncos and Cards respectively also they will be fresh with they face Niners.

After that, Niners come back and face Bengals. Even if both teams could be banged up after their matchups, Niners were so sore after facing 2 road games but also facing a better coaching staff, better QB, better RB's, better receivers better defense.

Lions could be an option to win at that moment Niners will be playing only for their pride.

Finally the last game vs Rams but is gonna be toughest of all games because it means chances to have chance to clinch a wildcard spot for Jeff Fisher against Seattle if they are on same record.

I think we will end with a 3-13 or 4-12 record so playoff is not on our horizon for this season.

whatever the case..the offense was offensive

IMO the issue was more Roman than Harbaugh.......... but in that sense harbaugh is just as accountable as the Head Coach (but i still don't agree with him being let go)
