Not sure if you guys have seen the new NFL Power Rankings - yes we climbed this week - but I'm still just sad about the season in general....

What do you guys think, any chance of pulling it around?

Unlikely in my view. But it is a very young team so I look forward to future developments.

I think we have too much instability at Qb to really turn it around this year.

What's funny about this is that our chances improve every game. There are just no wildcard teams that are pulling away. It's all a mediocre jumbled mess. Unlikely for us -- but entertaining.

If they somehow pull a miracle upset in Seattle we would still be in last place in the div. because of the tie breakers, lol. That's a little disheartening.

Agree

But there's a lot more than that.

OLine issues nowhere near settled tops the list - IMO

This
Just like Tim Ryan said in the 49ers first pre season game, "In terms of talent, the cupboard is not bare." They have some untapped talent, some players that have stepped up, and some future talent waiting to be drafted. We should be in the playoffs in 2017, depending on what York will do with the coaching staff.

I don't see how.

Trent will finish his contract out next year then what? Jed fires him and starts fresh? Renews Trent's deal and fires Tomsula, put the blame on the HC? Either way I don't see the team being good in the next few years.

Wouldn't that be an upgrade if Jed doesn't keep those guys that you and many others hate ?

This has nothing to do with who I like or dislike. It has to do with building a winning team.

What team do you know of has done a complete rebuild in 1 year and made the playoffs?

Would require good coaches to have players develop. And talented players. Both things the 49ers lack.

Also lack a competent GM that can acquire the talent especially on the offensive side.

Wow, you're right. That's depressing.

if it has nothing to do with who you dislike, then you just said we would do better keeping JT & Co, Why , because it wouldnt be a total rebuild
