WAAAAAY more mobile in the pocket than Alex. Really the first time I've seen a Niners QB feel the pressure around him in years. Hopefully, he can keep it up, and not take too many helmet to helmet hits like he took today.

Don't know if he's ready yet. They might be doing the Aldon plan w/him: teach one skill set in year one (pass rush), then teach the rest in the first offseason. Remember, Oregon's goofy schedule screwed him out of our offseason program.

McDonald is good at everything except catching the ball. Unfortunately that's kind of important. I don't think he's on the team next year. Celek, Bell, Anderson and a rookie (Jake Butt) is what I want

I don't know if he is good run defender but IMO we need another guy who can pressure the QB to help Lynch.

I dont agree with this. atlanta just had lazy gameplanning imo

look at Dontae Johnson's tape in college and in the pros. one strength of his is being able to bat down jumpballs. So what do the falcons do ? Throw a ton of jumpballs to julio without accounting for Dontae's strength. What are Dontae's weaknesses ? Well, he's slow on breaks, so you want to run drags, slants, double moves and all kinds of shifty stuff and then Dontae's not so good anymore. Pretty much none of those routes were pinned on Johnson.

its scouting 101, really. a guy who watches 49ers film for fun would be able to tell that to scouts in a second. Atlanta probably thought our D was a pushover and they just needed to execute their own plays without worrying about our players. big mistake in the NFL imo

Blaine was terrific outside of one throw really. Armstead great, Lynch good as usual, Tartt vicious, Draughn looked today a lot like he did in college getting yards after contact.

Lots of positives. And lets not forget, didn't have Boldin today and after the bye he should be back.

Yes except that instead of Brown and Tiller they went with Brown and Pears who got blown up at guard worse than tackle. I did like the fact that Devey never saw the field in the second half.
