I do to,I really believe these guys will be big impact players, but Baalke has to hit some Homeruns in this upcoming draft to keep the cupboard from becoming barebone.

I agree, I think 2016 will decide his career here.

Sure, some people might. But, what if Harbaugh went 2-14 in his first year? I think most rational people would give him the benefit of the doubt. You know why? He's done it before. Walsh also won at Stanford. Tomsula hasn't won/done anything to give us hope, IMO.
Not true,He`s won in NFL-Europe

But Geep and Mangini are at crucial positions as coordinators. And I don't like either.
I understand Kap was the reason Geep was made OC, but I just can't see it being super successful down the line.
Yep Mangini and Geep are the weakest links on the coaching staff, btw whose idea was it to bring Mangini here in the first place? wasn`t it Harbuagh idea? Mangini defensive schemes was the root cause of the 9ers getting blasted in Pittsburgh and Arizona,He`s just as bad as Nowin`s Big Nickle defense which he played the WORST DB of all time "Mark Roman" who was forever looking at the back of Recievers he was allegedly covering

its to bad things have to be really bad before they get better but i am sure somehow, someway we will get better. I have no clue what the details will be in that plan. I am frustrated only from the standpoint that i was more than fine with the team cutting ties with mooch and Jh. Of course i acknowledge the success they had but i was fine, for various reasons to let them go. I just get upset when they bring in someone who turns out to be way worse than the departing coaches . i always thought and maybe this is not realty that when you make a change in regards to a coach or player you are mainly doing it cuz you have someone better in mind, someone who can elevate the team to a level the former ones,, no matter how good they did,, did not do. i am not sure why our team has to spiral downhill and can not get it right the first time. However the biggest complaint i have and this is reality in my opinion,,,,,,,,,,,,,, for the powers to be to set around, do nothing with this putrid excuse for a offensive line and pin their hopes on kilgore coming back in two or three weeks is asinine and shows to me they have no clue in this area and that is totally and completely unacceptable. i understand the purpose of this thread is to a bit more positive and to try to make people understand there is some hope down the line,,,,, but to be critical of the powers to be for their actions or inactions in regards to the line play is the purest form of reality i can see right now with this team. also the alleged good teachers we were told about who will be our coaches have done a lousy job teaching the players which is proven by the horrid penalties our team makes,, in my opinion

Most bad teams can hang their hat on something. Let's look at the current bottom feeders by division
Dolphins-Have good pieces can they get it together.
Ravens-They've been in most games. They've had no luck at all in tight games. They have not been blown out despite the injuries/lack of depth
Chargers-Phillip Rivers and not much else
Titans-rookie qb but have been very competitve in almost every game. Blown out once vs dolphins
Bucs-see titans but winning more games
Lions-Trainwreck on par with current state of 9ers. Though I'd say they're in a worse overall state IMO with the amount of money tied up in Stafford and Megatron. Though they have a much easier problem to fix. It's "only" their o-line.
Cowboys-Every skill position player seems to have been injured for multiple games.
49ers-The reality is your lads are getting beat in so many different ways. And the beating they're taking in those facets of the game is just so catastrophic you can't fix them in one or two off-seasons in the salary cap modern game.
Honestly 1/2 the losses you can pin on an inept defense. Every thread i read seems to be high on Acker and Armstead. Yet Acker is the guy getting burned week in week out. Every time I watch the 9ers recently i need a bucket of ice nearby because at least once a game he's gonna get burned so hard even I'm gonna feel it all the way in Australia. Armstead has been thoroughly mediocre. Yet somehow these two are the best cover and pass rush options. yes they're young, but you have to show something other than being photogenic on the receiving end of highlight reel plays on espn. Your vet safeties are not helping your young corners by taking repeatedly what seem to be poor angles and decisions.
Offensively plenty has been said in other threads.
Acker and Armstead are actually playing very Good football, not sure what games you have been watching,I noticed that you gave Mangini a free-pass with his defensive schemes where he has Linebackers 50 yards down the field covering WRs hmmmmmmmmmmm.and by the way yeah Acker is leading the team in INTs yep! he`s bum

The reality is WE SUCK BALLS! And The Owner is in Love with the GM who continually passes up great players! The owner won't spend on a great coach,
the owner won't fire the coaches we have because of his pride over his decision on Harbaugh, and he won't get Marathes non football knowin' ass out of the way!
Unless we go 2-14 He will probably bring JT back next year and expect things to be better. Newsflash Jed, THEY WON'T !!!
Fire some people, chop off some heads dammit! Come out of hiding and actually BE ACCOUNTABLE like u said Jed and apologize to the fans and give us
hope by telling us what are your plans to fix this absolute albatross!!!

The thing is if he ditches Kaepernick and the coaching staff then ditch Baalke after 2016 the next GM gets stuck with his qbs and coaches or we start over again. They wasted this year, I would hate to see them waste another.

With Coach Walsh, at 2-14 we were almost always in most of those game...ie, we had a shot at winning. Think back to this season and last half of 2014....when we lost, we weren't even close to being in it. This yr, against the NYG, we had a shot. But every other game we had no chance of winning. So let's not use BW as someone to compare to. It's like nite and day. We are now back to yr 2003, looking at picking half azzed guys as OC or HC, when what we really need is expert help in making this decision. Jed and family needs to be out of the picking coaches or GMs business. That isn't his forte. He needs to sign the checks. Meantime, get a VP of football ops (Phoenix's idea) who makes all the football decisions, and get football gurus to make the choice for this VP . (Use dungy, gruden, pioli, parcells, casserly, et al as your advisors for your VP of footbal ops) and then go from there.

This was true even in the worst seasons at the start. I don't think there were more than 2 or 3 games that were close to blowouts in all of '79 and '80.

all losses are bad losses but you guys are right,, when you are at a point where you are not even competitive ,,, well then you need to have a massacre and dump them all. if this keeps up NO ONE keeps their job
