Serious pass rushers always make any secondary look a lot better and I don't think the secondary is below average in the first place. And you could have said the same general thing at many times during Gore's tenure about the running backs. There was Frank Gore and.... who else of any real importance? A couple of quality O-linemen could cure the protection problem.
