Who can come close to replacing what he was in 2013 and prior? Maybe the rookie?

Its doubtful, you're not going to find a TE as explosive as Vernon in his prime but its possible that Bell could develop into a more complete and consistent player. Having a traditional TE that can exploit the holes in a defense, with good hands and the ability to run solid routes is a big plus.

There's way better hoes out there. No woman is worth breaking up a football team, seriously.

What does it say about the players and the organization if a woman can cause them to lose games?

Man, there's got to be better women out there unless they purposefully stick to f**king around with the chicks that have proven that they won't run their mouths.
I find it interesting that the guy that got an extension last year without even asking is calling out the guy that didn't. Vernon had just had a 13 TD season and was considered the 3rd best TE in the league and was the ONLY deep threat we had, yet him and Boone got dick and Staley got the extension. Some resentment there maybe? That's how soap operas start. Who knows what was said between the team and Vernon during those talks but he never came back the same.
I'm really sick of all this s**t, but its what I'm starting to see as the norm for this organization. Honestly, I can't stand to watch them play anymore. I'm as loyal as anyone and love the Niners but when you put a substandard, almost amateur product on the field it become unbearable. When I watch other teams that aren't all that good it seems like they consistently see more success on both sides of the ball more than the Niners. For me, when I watch the Niners, I'm just waiting for the next screw up. Kap throwing it to the first row, Hyde cutting back into a crowd of opposing defenders, a sure handed Boldin dropping balls and getting stupid penalties, an offensive right side of the offensive line, and a former tight end turned business man that flat out became a c**t. On defense I haven't seen tackling this bad in a long time and for as smart and Mangini is, it sure seems like the players on the back end are more often out of position and lost all while getting torched. Did I mention having absolutely zero pass rush? Its not worth watching the s**t. And now we get this high school locker room b******t. For one, this s**t doesn't leave the locker, PERIOD. And really Colin? Dipping your junk in some nasty ass used up groupie hole? Must be some looker to backdoor your teammate like that? Maybe you are distracted because your brain is on an island. Hey, I get the lack of blocking and crap coaching but son, you look lost.

Is it just me or does it seem like about half the players on this team actually want to be there? Jed? Trent? Tom? I feel bad for Tom, he's just trying to do his job with a bunch of Raider reject coaches and DC who couldn't hold a HC job because he's a prick. I'm on the fence about Trent. He's made some great moves but he's also made some pretty s**tty ones. And lastly, you Jed...you little money grubbing jackass. Got your grand new high tech sauna where you can't even grow grass. Well at least you have that, the cash flow, the Wrestlemania and Taylor Swift concerts but you don't have what matters to fans the most, a football team. You are the Jefferey Lauria of the NFL. You got a community to buy you a stadium and then you sold out your team and your fanbase which is ok because it all helped make you a little richer. Do us a favor, sell the team, go back to Ohio with Mom and Dad Dork and pound sand.

Sorry folks, but I'm done watching this year. For me this train wreck is enough.

Still faithful, but just more sick and tired right now.
Clearly the Yorks conceived and released this elaborate lie to the media to paint kap into a corner and make him a scapegoat and justify his release from the team to the fans and the media...clearly. Its also an elaborate plan to increase his potential trade value

Now they are throwing VD under the bus in an attempt to justify his trade and increase his trade value. Its clear.

Clearly...

Vernon stopped playing when he started marketing himself. He got smaller, stopped blocking and lost his balls. Never could catch worth a s**t or without leaving his feet but at least his other attributes used to cover up those things but for the last two years he has been a flat out bum. We should have kept walker and shipped his ass out of town.

Probably because Staley went about things the right way. He handled his business, didn't hold out, didn't go complaining in the media and his play hasn't fallen off a cliff the way Vernon's has, showing it was a good decision by the team. Staley acted the way you expect a veteran team leader would, VD acted like the primadonna that we assumed that Singletary had exorcised.

Staley obviously is a favorite, always has been and he's fat and happy while the rest of the performers have to fight for scraps. After the impact Vernon had in 2013, he has to watch some outside WR that had a down year come in and get $6.5 million just handed to him. Alot mote than he was getting. Vernon was a changed man and had been a team leader.

Staley was absurdly underpaid as an elite LT for the longest time, Vernon has always been one of the highest paid TE's in the NFL, there is absolutely no comparison. Vernon basically quit on the team once his player stock deal got going.
