Staley and Vernon got into it because Vernon was faking his knee injury, just like many of us thought. The first instance occurred on the Tuesday following the Week 4 loss to the Packers. The conflict apparently stemmed from Staley's doubts regarding the severity of Davis' knee injury, which he sustained in the Week 3 loss to the Cardinals. According to the source, on the day after the Packers loss, Davis was told by a trainer that there was nothing wrong with his knee. Staley called Davis out on this the next day and they exchanged words over it. Davis didn't play in either of the 49ers' Week 4 and 5 losses to the Packers and Giants. The next altercation occurred in the locker room following last Thursday's loss to the Seahawks. While the details of this skirmish are unclear, a source told me that this was where the players were arguing over Kaepernick. The source couldn't clarify what was said, but told me that it was Davis who spoke out against Kaepernick, and it was Staley who defended his quarterback.

If you are my close friend and you were in a serious relationship, I wouldn't go there but if you are a casual friend or co-worker or you just dated her briefly, I got no problem with it.

The GSW comment was definitely off-base. I was stoked when they brought in Kerr. Getting rid of Jackson was a bit unusual given the success they had. Every year they improved on their record. But there was a very clear feeling that Kerr was a big upgrade. Not so with replacing Harbaugh with Tomsula. That was extremely questionable, and the results so far validate the concerns people had about that decision.

I started a thread saying to trade him to the Texans RIGHT after that delay-of-game penalty on 3rd & 1 w/ 3 time outs in the NFCCG @ Seattle after the 2013 season. I was officially done with that numbskull after that play; I even said to my buddies, "I don't even care if he pulls it off and wins; I'm done with him. He's never going to learn."

Indeed but that is not as bad as insinuating that he is like Joe Lacob, Marathe is like Welts and Baalke is like Myers.

Look at the culture of the Giants and the Warriors and then look at the 49ers.

The Warriors had a plan to replace Mark Jackson and didn't get rid of him until they had a plan to replace him. I don't believe the 49ers had any plan at all for moving on from Harbaugh.

Me neither. The only plan was to get rid of Harbaugh, whatever happened after that came secondary. They just really wanted him out of the building.

Worst than that is the players drafted to replace key starters have mostly under-performed, or completely failed. This team needs talent, or nobody we bring in to coach will have success.

Agreed, and I really believe if they didn't have a plan to get a clear upgrade in Kerr then this whole thing wouldn't have turned out the same way this past season.

No way, Myers, Lacob and Welts know what they are doing and don't get caught flat footed. York is more like Cohan. Trade for Webber, ditch Webber for nothing because he and coach had a spat, fire coach shortly thereafter and have nothing but Gugliotta and Todd Fuller to show for it.
