Game #6: The Good- Bad- Ugly

Was Jeckal and Hyde, what happened in the second half, kap looked terrible, in the first half he looked good.

I was half expecting another meltdown from him in the second half.

Seemed they went away from what was working in the first half for something else and it put kap in a very bad place :(

When are we going to stop slowing down with a lead and start stepping on a teams throat and end the game by the time the third quarter is over. I'm tired of this being happy once we are up two scores. That doesn't mean anything since all it takes for an opponent is to get a touchdown putting them right back into the game.

I thought Kaep had a few oportunities in the redzone that he was unsure of and didn't pull the trigger when he should have. Those drives ended in FG's instead of TD's. Other than that, I thought he played a decent game. I really want to see the all 22 film of that play where carlos got hurt. From the tv broadcast, it looked as though there was some nice real estate off the right tackle to be had on that particular play. Too bad Hyde rolles his ankle.

Doc, the protection was ok, but there were times on 3rd down where Balt blitzed and Kap was sacked by the time he hit his 2nd step of his drop. There was 1 pass where Kap hit Boldin on a hot route when Baltimore blitzed and we gained like 25 yards, good play by Kap and good play by Boldin to see the blitz and stop his route to get open.

Kap made some anticipation throws. 1 in paticular that I remember was a 15 yard out to Torrey Smith for a 1st down on the sideline. Also on Kaps long 51 yrd completion to Boldin on 3rd down while he was rolling left and throwing across his body, now that pass was a thing of beauty, right over Boldin's shoulder with the DB draped all over him

Kap and Torry made a play happen.

This defense is hot garbage...31st ranking overall. Awesome stuff.

And of course, we are coached by a total buffoon who calls a running play on 3rd and 7 and gives the ball back to Flacco with more than a minute remaining. Flacco isn't exactly top-tier, but he actually got the Ravens into position for a legitimate TD shot in the last minute.

If that was Eli (like last week)...this game was a loss. If that was any Top 10 QB in this league (Flacco is not one of them), I would estimate a greater than 70% chance that they find a way to get in the endzone with greater than 1:00 against this 49er defense.

Yeah right because any other Team would have called a pass for sure in this Situation.

either the pass is completed (good) and enough for a first down (perfect) or it is incomplete (bad due to stopped game clock) or very bad (turnover by INT).
running play means, independent of yards gained clock is ticking. only a fumble would be bad.

Against one of the worst secondaries in the league, you run on 3rd and 7. Only a fumble would be bad? LMAO. How about you hand back the ball to the other team so theirr QB can carve up your even worse secondary and get into position to score a TD?

A slightly better QB probably wins it for the Ravens under that scenario.

The incompetence runs very deep right now.

I didn't hate that call....running the ball allowed them to chip off like a min of the clock (plus the Ravens had no TOs left).

Incomplete pass would have stopped the clock. IF Baltimore would have had a TO left then they would have passed the ball

proud of the guys and coaches for the win. and for not having a divided house when everyone is dogging them.unlike kray, no issue with a run on the last call. we have seen when you do a pass, incomplete, clock stops and you give the other team extra time. you can quibble but the team found a way to finish strong and get the win, unlike the giants game. alot of people "acted' like they were having a good time last week at the expense of the teams struggles,, i will assume those same people are acting pissy this week that we won.

Need to fix the red zone decisions after making 3 FGs and a failed 2 pt conversion.

W gives Baalke confidence on his job and that sickens me

i think it is disgraceful a win should sicken you simply because you do not like the gm

The Good- We won the game and can enjoy it



The Bad- We can only enjoy the win for a few days until we get our ass kicked by Seattle on Thursday.

I didn't hate the call either. Sub 1:20 with 0 time outs left is something that you should expect the other team to fail to score a TD, however we didn't have good options. With Hyde injured, and a sub-par line, we weren't going to run for a first. And with our poor pass defense, we had been ineffective in slowing BAL in the second half. In the end, we did just enough to win.

Pass rush ain't what it was in the past. QB's can practically knit and sow back there while dumping it off on a slant to a WR or RB. Pass rush makes everyone look all pro, look what happened to Rogers, Brown, Culliver and Cox when they left here...

Truth. But then again, it's hard to get into rush rhythm when you're winded after chasing a RB 50 yards down the field and used in coverage often.
