LOL at "forced to answer."
The NFL shares revenue for merchandise and tickets among all the teams, SBL's were sold, the team is hosting the SB at Levi's, so no, the ownership pretty much has the fanbase by the short and curly's.
People can stop going to games, stop buying merchandise, stop watching games...it won't change a thing, at least not in the near future.

What about publicly embarrassing the ownership

To a certain point, why would they care.
With how much money they've got rolling in right now, it would take a hell of a lot of bad publicity to make them question their ways.

Nope not at all. I'm just looking forward to hearing your ideas "to force change"

I agree, but what I'm thinking, is something like a Fans Union, where organized groups of fans call out the ownership in ways that create echoes throughout all 31 other teams fan bases.
Say there's organized banners placed in the end zone that put up actual stats and point out failed attempts by York himself that carry over into high lights on ESPN where people publicly mock him, say like PTI or Jim Rome where he is forced into making changes.
Surely he has pride?

You laugh, but in all seriousness, what we need is to create something that has lasting power. Do you remember the old Coke commercials with mean Joe Green?
What about the John 3:16 signs that used to be in end zones? Things that get talked about in such a way that they become mainstream and have a lasting quality.
Do you think that this cannot happen with public outcry over bad ownership?
