Being optimistic is one thing being real... Well that's what a lot are on here.
We have too many holes and had too many holes to fill.
We filled a lot of those holes with talent so less than what we had before its painful.
We are the 49ers a once proud historic franchise. No it feels like a dick slapping us in the face week n week out.
We are so identical to the riaders. Crappy ownership with a knee jerk reaction to pulling the plug on coaches.
Mooch then Harbs. Just saying since eddie d lost the reigns the yorks have so fkd this team up.

I think this is the biggest point about this franchise right now. The Yorks turnover coaches so damn fast, and they just chased a wildly successful one out the door. To be completely honest, unless we get another painfully obvious good coach, it's going to be head scratcher after head scratcher. Harbaugh was the coach EVERY team wanted so it would be ridiculous to assume that the Yorks "found" or "discovered" the talent, though they must be credited for corralling him.

That is precisely why we might as well tank. I am telling you, we need a total rebuild here.
Would you rather be a Colts fan or 49ers fan right now? Luck already has NINE turnovers in three games, multiple turnovers in every game thus far. Kaep had ONE horrible game, the only one in his career where I can remember him looking like crap at all points in the game. He has had other rough games but none this bad. Also keep in mind that Arizona is no JOKE. Bruce Arians has them strong on both sides of the ball, and they could very well give any QB nightmares. As far as Kaep and Luck are concerned, I have no doubt that both are at least good enough to get their respective teams to the playoffs. On the same hand you can't expect these guys to look like Brady and Rodgers when they are put with sub par coaches and GM's. Brady has been with The Hoodie TEN plus years. Rodgers has been with Mike Mac for TEN years. Green Bay has had some bad years, some years where they came up short and everything in between, same with New England. I honestly can't say where this team will finish this year, but I can say that if we finish below 8-8 then Tomsula and Baalke need to go. The common denominator in all of failures has been one man... Baalke. He was here BEFORE Jim and AFTER Jim. At this point we see no improvement. Jim took this team from cellar dweller to an Super Bowl contender in one year. Our defense is suspect right now, I get that. But there are plenty of teams with suspect defenses who are undefeated. Our main issue right now is offensive line. How in the hell Tomsula let Baalke give him Devey and Pears to man nearly HALF of his offensive line is beyond me, or maybe it was Tomsula's choice. I could go on for DAYS about my issues with this team, but at the end of the day I love my 49ers through thick and thin. Yes things are rough but it's too early to tell how it will end.
Rationally assessing what this team is - from front office on down - is not hitting the panic button, It is simply acknowledging truths about the state of this franchise.

Since 2005 our owners and our general manager(s) care very little about hiring coaches that use a contemporary passing attack. This is concerning given that league rules have made the passing game easier and easier for even average teams. Scoring is up, league wide. But our philosophy and the strategies behind our personnel and coaching decisions seem to be intentionally focused on not taking advantage of these rules and to distance the ownership and front office from their predecessors (Walsh, et al.) and the people who hired them (Eddie D.) who were most definitely associated with a progressive passing attack in their day.

This isn't a 2015 issue. This is a philosophical issue that has dominated this team for a decade and has influenced every major decision - from coaching hires to personnel decisions - ever since.

Since 2005, our offensive philosophy has been power run. With the exception of Harbaugh (who is, himself, a run-first guy) we have elected to hire defensive-oriented head coaches. We have had seven different offensive systems in the past 11 years. But only two starting quarterbacks, essentially.

Since 2005 our GM(s) have only drafted one wide receiver and one tight end that made the pro bowl.

Since 2005 there have been 78 1,200 yard seasons by wide receivers or tight ends. During that time the 49ers have 0.

Since 2005 there have been 104 10+ TD catch seasons by wide receivers or tight ends. During that time the 49ers have 0.

Since 2005 there have been 75 4,000 yard pass seasons by quarterbacks. During that time the 49ers have 0.

Since 2005, there have been 43 30+ touchdown pass seasons by quarterbacks. During that time the 49ers have 0.

Importantly, these numbers did not improve under Harbaugh, who, again, was also a power run guy. But of our four head coaches since 2005 he is the only one to post a winning record employing the front office's run-first, strong defense philosophy. And the front office let him go.
Correction - Vernon Davis has had 2 seasons of 10+ receiving TDs.

No way to sugar coat it, our current talent level and coaching has been outscored 93-45 in 3 games. Even with a week 1 win in the mix it looks dodgy.
O-line and secondary shuffling is about all the team can experiment with.
I will watch every game this season and cheer them on.
Panic Button? What Panic Button?

With the upcoming games against the: Packers, Giants, Ravens, Seahawks, Rams, Falcons, Seahawks and the Cardinals.

How many of those games are you confident enough that the 49er's will win?

Scary isn't it? What Panic Button?

I'm gonna sit on the panic button until we get rid of coach tummy.
Don't press the button!!!

I'm just trying to figure out what to do in my madden cfm... if I should keep kaepernick as my QB or release him and draft a rookie QB?
Can we hit it when GB destroys us for 40+ points?

I hate to break it to you. To be strategically smart and for the good of the franchise going forward, this is what we will need to do:

Bottom line! Kaepernick is limited and football IQ is not to high. Right side of OL sucks. All need to be changed. Just fact.
