Well, we sat and wondered if perhaps last week was "just a bad day." And we proceeded to literally do nothing different. Well, not literally. We dropped our safeties back and covered the deep routes - so much so that crossing and seems were wide friggin open. But this offensive line problem is simply not going away. Marcus Martin is not ready, and may never be ready for the center position. I am 100 times more comfortable with him being at guard. Jordan Devey is straight up awful as is Eric Pears. And folks point to Week one, but those two were not good week 1 either. I believe Marcus Martin is the primary reason Joe Staley and Alex Boone have under performed. On the defensive side, I'm sorry, but Navorro Bowman needs to come out on 3rd downs. 1. it gives him rest, and 2. the dude isn't what he was in coverage. Mike Davis is a joke. I'm not too high on Jarryd Hayne as a running back, but the guy is better than Mike Davis. Hayne also needs to be returning kicks. This Grant Cohn BS about Hayne being our 3rd best returner is ridiculous. Send Vernon Davis up the friggin seem. He only succeeds over the middle. You traded for Nick Easton - so obviously you know you have a major problem at center. Play him already. My point is, we're 1-2. Which means this is potentially the most crucial game of the season. This team would be tremendously Nolan-esque and Singletary-ied if it went through the worst back-to-back defeats in franchise history and did nothing. And held no one accountable. And played the role of the friggin cheerleader. Stop worrying about the players' bodies and get it down that losing is unacceptable. And losing like that gets people fired mid-season.

We need to completely clean the slate. Qb is playing terrible, o line sucks, pass rush is s**t, and our dbs blow. Not to mention our coaches couldn't coach a high school team to a victory and our gm has made some awful decisions on personnell. I want to seen new faces in all of the positions mentioned above at the start of the next season.
Knowing this team doesn't stand a chance at winning is not how we as fans should be feeling during every game.

Nothing on offense looks right. The only thing semi reliable is Celek catching the ball.

Torrey Smith is reliable just needs more targets and not when the game is already out of hand.

O-line and Kap are the main problems. Mostly O-line because we can't run block and it makes Kap put the game on his arm. Which he can't do. Especially with our horrible pass protection.

Hyde ran hard. He was fighting just to get back to the line of scrimmage. The line is horrible.

No changes that we can make are going to make this team better. This team is done for the year. Kap, oline, entire coaching staff, play calling have all been trash

If you don't make changes to get better we lose smith and boldin. Imagine those guys during a 6 game losing streak.

Vernon has been effective on the outside, he can go deep, period... but we are asking him to run short/intermediate routes that require him to get in and out of his breaks real quick. Waste of his talent.

Quinton Patton has gotten his fair chance and someone else needs a crack at #3 WR, whether it's Ellington or DeAndrew White.

Also... don't know why we're not routinely testing S's deep with Torrey and Vernon's speed. Why Vernon continues to run curls and outs is beyond me.

And what happened to this screen game I kept hearing about in the summer?

This is the most pathetic post I've read on the wz.

Exactly..kap is not this bad..the I-line is making him bad..everything. Starts with the o-line..

Exactly..kap is not this bad..the I-line is making him bad..everything. Starts with the o-line..

He is not this bad, but he also is increasingly not a guy who can function behind anything less than a great line and ours is really, really bad. It might be time to let him walk after the season because the line isn't going to be a one season fix. We will have to start all over in the draft and build more talent there.
