Best football player ever
Career TD, Reception and Receiving Yards records still boggle the mind, especially the latter. 22,895.... nearly 7000 Yards more than Owens' 15,934. 7000!
Flash #80!!

No one does it better.

This!!

But not only the records.

I remember when in a playoff game against the team I hate most, Giants, and Jerry was running for a TD. Then, he dropped the ball. BUMMER!!! We lost that playoff game.

If that happened today, many people in the Zone would be screaming to cut him and there's be endless posts on what a loser he is.

BUT what Jerry did and what I admire about him the most was to brush of the negativity. He picked himself up and outworked everyone on his team and in the NFL.

There are millions of talented players but "Perseverance" and a Big Time work ethic made Jerry the GOAT!!!
Is this guy any good? Never heard of him
Oh I have him in my top 5 all time

He's why I am a Niner fan
Jerry was really great at every play/route, but the play I think of the most when thinking of Jerry is:

Good ole flanker drive, the ultimate play for the ultimate "Z". Jerry catching that drive route and picking up blockers as he piles up YAC.

The key to that play is the RBs flaring out and making the LBs move. This thread needs more highlights.

That's an early example of drive (1985), of the course of a decade it started to develop into this:

Started using motion with the Z to gain a little separation. I absolutely love "Drive"....probably my favorite WCO concept.
