God, I hope Justin comes back so badly. We'd have so much quality depth up front. Dorsey, Williams, Smith, Dockett are all very solid players... Armstead and Carradine offer nice potential.

Maybe not next year but a nickel front of
Lynch - Tank - Armstead - Aldon
Sounds MENACING if things work out.

Exactly.
With this new depth, & that's given Justin Smith comes back the rotation combinations are endless. This will be fun for the coaches. We have a lot of bodies at spots and we could still sign some more FA's you never know.

I still say that our D line looks very fragile and weak.

Lemon will be 2nd string before Harold. He has 3yrs under his belt aposed to a 20yr old rookie.

Justin should stay with all this depth he doesnt need to play every done. It'd be a huge help to our rookies including tomsula.

Brooks on the inside is a great freaking Idea. I know he can do it.
And no more offsides calls on him, Genius!!!!

Wasnt Brooks cut from the Bengals because he was under performing at ILB/MLB?

lol Ahmad Brooks sucks as a pure pass rushing OLB. What makes you think hes going to be able to move inside with real responsibilities and stay disciplined?
Our BEST front 7 would be Dockett, Justin Smith, Williams, and Dorsey up front, and Aldon, Lynch, and Bowman at LB.
Ultimately, were going to run more plays out of our base 3-4, so while I think hes average, I would still prefer Wilhoite be on the field at ILB than Brooks.

Yes. Brooks is an ok run defender as a 3-4 OLB, and when you get his pass rush attempts in bulk, he can get some hits on the QB. But overall hes not a good player, and hasnt been for 2+ years now. Even though it looks good on paper, moving him inside is not the answer.
