This is a misleading stat. Every team has a lot of turn over year, but its usually second and third tier players, not your "stars."

Yeah I see that. Still the top shelf players on a team get too old with diminishing skillsets at some point. They just don't lose a big chunk of them at the same time like the Niners did this year. But I would maintain that almost half the players who left were getting too old and/or have diminishing skills.

We have more starters left from the 2012 Super Bowl than the Ravens do.

All active 46 - Everyone will play and with new schemes, the arrow up is on every one of these players now.

Love that optimism NC!

I think we did play all 46...anyone confirm yet?

Bell was active, I didn't see him on offense, maybe on STs he played.

Interesting, but I thought Wilhoite played in the playoffs during the 2012-2013 campaigns, he was apart of the roster, maybe he was on the 7 man inactive though, I don't remember.
So who gets cut when Kilgore and Simpson get back? I think we put Smelter on IR so no need for a spot there. Let's hope we dont have to IR anyone and everyone stays healthy. If we go position for position it's obviously Patton or White. Seems like Patton would be the most likely to go. We won't cut simpson because we would have done it already or not even signed him since we knew he would face a suspension. As for Kilgore hopefully it's TJE or Wright. If it's offense then seems like Silberman would be the favorite. I doubt Easton and I hope it's not him. Don't be surprised if it's Lemonier, unlikely it's Skov.

The 2 Cuts Should Come Down To: (My Rank)
Patton (Minus a punt block he hasn't show anything to stick around and might already be gone if simpson wasnt suspended)
Silberman (The only advantage he has is he is a 6th round pick)
Wright (Way overpaid and that's the only thing keeping him on the roster)
Lemonier (probably would already be gone if we werent so short at the position)
White (Seems like Patton would be before him based on potential)
Easton (I hope not he shows a lot of promise and we just traded for him so I doubt it.)
TJE (Coaches favorite, wish he would have got cut for Dockett)
Skov (Very unlikely if he's the #3 ILB)

I posted for your info but also to ensure accuracy. I do need your help as I might have an error here or there.

I tried to include those who actually played in the games during the playoffs.

Gore 21...please don't make me think about this! LOL!

I have such mixed feelings about the roster because of injury insurance. To me it seems to make sense to find an injury issue with Wright, or if he insists on feelling fine, cut him. Kilgore replacing Silberman sounds right. I heard on the radio that Devey was dinged in the game but Tomsula said there were no injuries other than Bush, so...

I think your list is good...then I wonder who has the likely chance of getting to the PS. Easton? Silberman?

To me Silberman is more likely to get to PS, I don't think they cut Easton, unless there is some kind of condition to the pick we sent to Baltimore, like he needs to be active for 6 games, then I could see him cut, but I hope not, Silberman doesn't impress me.

I doubt Wright gets the ax, he should have at end of preseason, but that $1.5M bonus we gave him would have a tough pill to swallow, and his $850K base salary is guaranteed now, so little savings right now, at most $500K.

Patton I can see cut, Simpson is better, and White has more potential, since he is inactive, idk though, anything could happen.

I hope no injuries, but by week 7 when eligible to return, we probably have an injury or 2.

Good points! Since almost every player plays with pain and minor injuries, they should be able to find two guys to replace Kilgore and Simpson when they return. Simpson is much better than Patton, depending on his character issues.
Great stuff guys!
How does it work if the players in team keep getting injured?

For instance, next game both Hyde and Davis do their knees and are out for several weeks or more?

Obviously they can't rely on Hayne as RB, so what happens? Do they reshuffle the 53 or are they allowed to bring in players that never made it originally to cover the loss?

Pretty sure Wilhoite replaced Bowman in the NFC championship game. Not sure if that counts.
