49er TE Blake Bell

Gotta be excited at this big guy...what a target for Kap. He and Anderson are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise very lackluster TE corps. Nice goin', Baalke.

Both played tight end for just one season in college, and Bell caught 16 passes. Graham caught 17.

Both are 6'6".

Both were 23-years old when they got drafted.

And both are agile. Bell ran a 6.85-second 3-cone, and Graham ran a6.90.

Is Bell the next Graham?

We should know fairly soon. Graham seemed like a long-term project when he came into the league, but his first season he started five games and his second season he caught 99 passes. He pretty much was ready to go.

If Bell has a similar career trajectory, obviously he will be the 49ers' best pick from this draft."

Let's not get TOO carried away, lol. Graham's arms are 2 inches longer, and he had 5.5" more on his vert. That's a huge jump ball advantage.

lol

we have no bona fide #2 TE so I dont see what the problem is with getting him some snaps on offense.

Other than gimmick plays, I don't see this guy getting close to the field.

I do, especially in the redzone
I thought Carrier looked good enough last yr natural hands...

There's always room for a big target. With him being a former QB we'll only need to carry two QBs. Also his understanding of how the QB position works he'll be able to find open area's on the field to give Kaepernick easier windows to pass through, sorta like Whitten. Plus, Vernon was a shell of himself last year and the verdict is still out on Vance.

yes. dude made some amazing grabs when given the chance. Seemed a little too small for TE tho.
Bell Dozer will get some 2 point conversions. LOL.....

True… but Bell wins the toughness category in a landslide.

Love Bell's attitude, did whatever was asked of him in college and excelled at it. Graham is a WR in an athletic TE's body where as Bell has the look and attitude of a true TE. Still wanna see McDonald with the ball in his hands and room to run, hopefully he can take the next step along with allot of the younger guys that were seemingly the black sheep of the old coaching staff.

Id love to see him and Vance develop into duel Gronks in our 2 TE sets.

His hands aren't his problem,he's still very marginal at best as a blocker which I could see being his ticket out of town.
