And who the hell said they were gonna be less of a fan based on a jersey? It's ridiculous to assume that not wanting to be force feed a gimmick makes you less of a fan.

When everybody was guessing what they would look like, I had this feeling that they would be black.

Not only would they be hot in the summer, but to me BLACK AND RED clashes, and they look cheap like something one would buy from a nickle and dime store!

I know how hot and humid it gets here in Hawaii, and the East Coast isn't much different .... Black and Humid don't mix. Comes the 4th quarter and these guys will be dropping like flies!

The 49er's really didn't need an alternate uniform and if I had to pick one, it would have been white with red lettering and black trimmings around the letters.
Albeit they would show dirt real quick, but at least they would have looked more stylish than these. Uuuugh!

I guess management wanted to generate more income and this is one way to do it, but whoever designed these fell short on aesthetics.

Since Willis was the one lobbying for these, i wonder if its enough to bring him out of retirement?

btw, disapprove. Apart from looking like a cheap knock off bought at some 5 dollar store on 16th and Mission, black is not our color. What if we decided to change the American flag to Red, White, Black and Blue (not sure why I'm using capitals)? Its just not right, regardless of how it looks.

Bowman already said why they picked black. They're about business this year.
Also it's not like these are the new home jerseys they're alternates that will probably be worn only once a season.

The uniforms look ok but that's not my issue. They aren't unique and they're not 49er.
